this one was a lot of fun to make, learning a little more about line guides and aquatic enemies.

it's a bit tougher than most of the other levels so far, the last world will be just a step or two above this in difficulty.

This would be insaneto pull off, but a procedurally generated autoscroller, randomly creating the level as it goes along. It could draw from a bank of pre-made sections of levels, putting together the pieces just before it comes on the screen and erasing it after. It would go on until you died, and have a high score based on how far got. Ideally, it would have different difficulty levels, like Easy, Normal, Hard, and Kaizo.

the 1st half of this was actually the 2nd or 3rd thing i ever worked on lol, i just came back to it recently when i got more ideas.

i still have a lot more i want to do with line guides, and i haven't even messed with dolphins at all yet, so that level might just happen ;) that might make a good vertical level.

p.s. i have abandoned capitalization altogether :p

okay update time
things are slow, but steady. i've just started a new job and i have less free time, and the levels are becoming more difficult and complicated, so it's taking a while.

still, i have made some progress :p
here's an ice cave level "Not Well Thawed Out"
the part with the football/lava slope is cool but a little too RNG heavy, i have to somehow make it a little less annoying.

i've also got another level halfway done called "Dolphinfestation", a sinking ghost ship infested with dolphins, whaddya know.

Updated version of the ice cave and preview of the ghost ship.
Said ghost ship will probably be a bonus level, as it is pretty tough and a little unintuitive for beginners (like spin jumping through the dolphin). I tried to show a couple different ways things could go.

like other people have said, it really depends on how many good ideas you have for the hack.
running out of ideas? end it there so you don't have boring uninspired levels.
overflowing with ideas? keep going! don't sell yourself short.

Another Special World level.
some inspiration from the first levels of Dram World and Kaizo 3 in this one. First half, you have to race a bullet bill. Second half is pretty difficult, but it's only two tricks, so I think anyone could do it.
