Tip: Avoid blind jumps. If the player has to jump down a random hole to proceed with no indication at all that they can go down there, you've done something wrong! Not logged in.

In editing the Overworld, I have two islands in the main Overworld Area. I want one island to have a certain music and the other island to have a different type of music. How do I Let both islands have different music without moving one island to another area? Do I have to use exit tiles to do this?

Use this patch.

Thank you for helping me!
I like the way the WIP is looking so far. Keep up the good work!
Is it possible for there to be a tutorial on implementing the OW Music patch into your Overworld in terms of what you do to get changing music in certain parts of the main Overworld?

I should've done this a month ago, but oh well. Hello, my name is Alex, but I go by Alex119098 because it is more unique than just "Alex". My friend got me into SMW hacking about a month ago, before that I generally did Mario Kart hacking.
I've been wondering about the difficulty lately of gen 6 and wonder if gen 7 would be that easy or even easier than gen 6. Does anyone think gen 7 would be easier than ever?
When using separate ExGFX files for the foreground and background, how do you combine the palettes for both? Can you combine both palettes?
Hopefully submitting a couple projects and being more active here.

Temporarily open the palette in a separate level, then use ctrl + alt + left click to to copy an entire palette row. In your actual level, use ctrl + alt + right click to paste it. Then just repeat that for all the relevant rows.
(be sure to tick the "custom palette" box by the way, since pasting rows doesn't automatically set it like opening a .pal file does)

If two ExGFX use the same palette row, you'll have to put them on separate rows and change the palette number of anything that used them; for FG/BG, you can just change them in the Map16 editor.

You can play with the pallete editor and see what fits for you.

Thanks for the help.
A Samsung Galaxy S7 that I sometimes use for multitasking with different apps, even though I rarely have a reason to.
How would I be able to change sfx such as the starman theme and goal theme? Sorry if this is a really stupid question.
Thanks for the help.
Any feedback appreciated!
Yeah, we were trying to come up with alliterations for each world; it's still subject to change. And for the OW, didn't realize some of the perspective error until now.
This looks really good so far. I'm assuming that layer 3 is there in the screenshots? It fits really well in the backgrounds. Can't wait for full release!
I would have to choose between Yoshi or Goombella
Plot armor would just go to the moderators and staff probably
Toads, because they are an underrated species in the Mushroom Kingdom
Kind of obvious from my profile pic
