Hey everybody. I'm new to SMWCentral and SMW hacks in general. I've started trying a bunch of them though, and I'd like to give feedback, both for the creator to know what I liked/didn't like and for interested players who are wondering if they should give it a try.
Since there are so many hacks, though, I haven't really been finishing them. Instead, I play a bit and if it's cool I keep going but if it's just not fun I set it aside (sometimes very early on). Is the general opinion here that it's not fair to give negative feedback without giving the hack a fair try and playing through all/most of it? Or is the onus on the creator to make a hack fun and inviting? I tend towards the latter sentiment, and feel that "First two levels weren't fun, didn't play the other 50+" is a fair and constructive review. After all, why should players have to wade through bad levels to get to gems later on?
