This is more of a random idea than a request, since I don't have any hacks I'm working on or anything, but, I was wondering if anyone might think it'd be fun to make: an SPC, with the vanilla SMW instruments, of a popular Japanese children's song called "Green Green":

...which was in turn based on a 1960s pop song from the US:

You might notice it sounds a liiiiiiiiittle familiar! This song was probably an influence on Koji Kondo. (I learned about it from a youtube video by the channel Thomas Game Docs). It'd be neat to see the whole thing come full circle with a SMW soundfont version of Green Green, since it would be similar to the SMW theme, but not quite identical.

Just an idea I wanted to throw out there if anyone might want to do it just for fun. Thanks!
I'm basically wondering, is there a romhack that's either:

1. Literally vanilla Super Mario World in more or less it's entirety, except that it has additional exits and levels added

or

2. The same map layout as Super Mario World, but with paths that go to unusual parts of the map, such as the small island north of Donut Ghost House that isn't accessible in vanilla, or the center of Yoshi's island, etc?

I know this is kind of a weird random hack question, and it's not a request per se; plus I know SMW Central usually has some limitations on how close to the original unmodified SMW a hack can get. But at the same time, it sounds like something that might already exist, and I'm not sure how to find it.

I was looking at videos about the unintended exit glitches in vanilla, and I thought, "man, it would be fun to trick my brain into feeling like I found extra levels in the original Super Mario World", basically.

If anyone has any hack suggestions related to this idea, I'd be interested to take a look. Thanks!
I'm a lurker, but I play a lot random stuff mostly very casually- sometimes I may hear of a newer hack from youtube or a discord server and look it up (honorable mentions to Super Mario World 2021 by edu_dyck, and to 'the), but a lot of the time I just look up random hacks or search terms that appeal to me and go looking through really old, relatively simple stuff.

I also play a bunch of random SMB1 and SMB3 romhacks off of romhacking.net, though, so I'm not sure if my tastes are typical. Also I usually play with rewinds on because I'm just playing to have some relaxing casual fun.
