I added some custom music to levels of my hack, and for some reason this completely disabled the end credits music. Is there a place to edit this music without having to use ASM? I can't seem to find one...
Looks like you were having an identical problem to what I'm having. I'm VERY new to ASM patching, but I'll try to figure out how to add that code Medic gave you. Thanks for the help!

Kaizo levels generally have one intended solution, and only give you items that you absolutely need. These levels give you lots of items that you don't need for anything, and can keep throughout the level. There is excessive amounts of cheese, ceilings that you can run on, shell jumps you can skip with pspeed, and midways that give you mushrooms you can keep. Definitely seek playtesting from someone who has played a decent amount of kaizo.

Along with the cheese, there is a bit of cutoff such as bullet bill launchers floating in the air and incorrect corner tiles. Be aware of the tiles you are using and what context you use them in.

While this hack has some creative troll concepts, it repeatedly uses blatant vanilla edits and doesn't follow the conventions of kaizo design. There are various ways to play each exit, excessive amounts of cutoff and graphical errors, as well as intentionally bad music ports. The title screen requires 2 separate frame perfect tricks to even start the hack, which do not belong in the kaizo light category. I also recommend an epilepsy warning for the switch palace, which included flashing text and bright coloros.

That being said, there were some clever ideas for trolls in this hack, and I hope you do some original work and submit to the misc. troll category.

Hack contains multiple broken midways, and tricks that are incredibly frame-rule dependent such as jumping on a blue koopa to collect a shell next to it. The frame-rule patch would greatly improve the experience of the hack.

While I understand the meme, the background and foreground blend together so bad that it is often impossible to tell what is happening in a section. I recommend de-saturating and reducing the contrast in the background so it doesn't distract from the actual gameplay. The background scroll made me genuinely nauseous in some of the sections.

This is compounded by the use of custom gfx for enemies and blocks that make it difficult to tell how mario is going to interact with any given sprite.

The music is broken in places and glitches in a very unpleasant way.

If you plan on resubmitting, make sure you take your play-testers thoughts into consideration.

I looked in Lunar Magic and could not find a way to finish the first level. Beating Levels don't trigger events so this hack is technically 0 exits. The vertical screen scroll in level 1 is unlocked which reveals lots of off-screen cutoff, also allows you to go over the level. There is lots of cutoff throughout the hack. Many of the levels are just the same style of jump copy and pasted a few times, I recommend adding some variety to the level design.

The Water Castle is full of empty map16 tiles, it appears you either did not save map16 or intentionally filled the level with these tiles.

The Cloud level is completely cheeseable, you can fly under OR over the level.

The level that is a single shelljump can be completed without doing a shelljump in 2 different ways, getting pspeed or walljumping to the goal.

The Meh Finale feels like a non-kaizo level, there isn't much going on in the level aside from the tight timer

The autoscroller room requires you to throw up a spring and guide the bomb across the stage, but the sprite breaks and doesn't interact with the spring often. I believe it has to do with the bomb's hitbox when moving down. I recommend taking a look at the custom sprite and potentially editing it to be more consistent.

Description: Hey! This is my romhack... Its a demo with 6 levels and 5 exits (For some reason the game said at me 5 exits after finishing and beating all 6 levels). I am rejecting this hack for a couple of reasons:

Even though you are aware of being able to cheese the first water level, you should still find a way to prevent it. I was able to swim under 75% of the level, and there are patches that prevent this cheese.

You copy pasted the final sublevel from the first water level into the second one. I recommend making a new ending for that section.

There is a speed oscillation dependent jump in the slope level, the jump where you run back and forth to get pspeed. I recommend slightly loosening it by moving the first top muncher up one tile and the second bottom muncher down one tile, this would remove the luck factor in the jump.

There are some very confusing gfx used in the slope level as well, the sloped ceiling and ground that kill you in the second sublevel. Either replace them with munchers or find some better gfx to show that they will kill you.

The final level is a HUGE difficulty spike from the rest of the hack. In particular the ball n chain in the first room is incrdibley tight and difficult. The section feels savestate tested as well because the wendy fight rng can randomly kill you, which is super painful due to the lack of cp in the level. I recommend finding a way to make wendy consistent or adding a cp before the fight. The pipe entry is also incredibly tight, maybe consider loosening it up a bit. This isn't a rejection reason, just a tip

The biggest reason for rejection is the abundance of cutoff in the levels. Be careful when placing ground tiles that you aren't causing cutoff.

A secondary issue is the use of tiles with the same graphics but different act as in Map16. Especially in the yoshi feed level, it is very hard to tell what every tile does. Some bridge tiles are solid but others are 1f0, the softlock is gone but replaced by a tile that kills you in one instance but not another. I highly recommend consistency in graphics, it's how players know what is safe and what isn't.

I also recommend removing death tiles that are offscreen, in multiple levels I jumped into presumed safety and died to an offscreen muncher.

The design of the levels is massively improved, but in order to approve this hack you would need to submit and update that gets rid of the cutoff in the levels, as well as adding some consistency to your graphics.

I highly recommend getting a couple of testers to help you with the levels, you're on the right track but some tweaking would help a lot!

Hack has excessive cutoff and floating munchers, as well as lots of graphical errors that make it hard to tell what sprites are. The height of the Mario sprite is also very deceptive, as it is a few pixels shorter than Mario’s actual hitbox. Difficulty spikes randomly within levels, I recommend seeking playtesters to help even then out
