Wow! I don't know what to say. That's just awesome! One hack that has the possibility to actually make it to the top of SMWC. It kinda reminds me at Paper Mario from what I've seen in the video. If your game is as good as that, then it's defenitly awesome. Keep up the good work!
This looks really nice and like a lot of fun. But how can a Blurp run outside of water ? Probably you should make it so that Blurp can not move outside of water excepting for jumping or sliding (slopes)? But on the other hand that might just break the game too much.
@ Spooky Ghost: I think there already is a hack (with Blooper as protagonist) that has a bar that lets you only be outside of water for a limited time. Tag (b) was not closed.
It's a Korok (the same race as Makar from Wind Waker).

BTW: Will you be able to carry hearts in the SMW Itembox in the full version? I think that's pretty un-Zelda-like. Maybe with some work you could make it so that you can buy a red elixir in a shop, that is held in your item box. And whenever you press select your whole health is refilled. Just an idea ;)
The Mario enemies don't fit in there. And the shots are a bit too high (they come out of Mega Man's head). If you could fix those things and maybe add some Mega Man exclusives (like sliding) thent his would defenitly be an awesome game!
Good work you did there! Is this also customisable? Like for example: When you collect 8 coins, you get a 1-UP, like NSWB? Or a star? Or whatever comes to your mind. That would be pretty cool. Or you could make it so a key appears when you collect them all.
@ Legato Failure: I don't see the point why you didn't use savestates. This game was made for savestates. So of course it's no fun without them. Of course I try not to use savestates in normal Mario games, either. But this game is an exception.
Actually I had never believed that this game could be fun. But it really IS! Of course there are a few frustrating places. Like that fast auto-scrolling cave level. I swear I NEVER made that vine jump. But I think that was for 2 stupid reasons:
1. I was big Mario. I forgot that there was a checkpoint right before that. So everything I had to do was die and I could have continued as small Mario.
2. My Joypad was kinda broken. When you press right it often automatically goes up. That made Mario grab the vine whenever he was supposed to jump. I got that fixed now by recalibrating my Gamepad.
But the game really IS funny if you're a patitient (how do you spell that?) person (wich I not am btw, but I still liked it).
Can someone modify the goal blocks from this package or make completely no goal blocks that act like a normal or secret goal, but freeze Mario like a goal sphere in a horizontal level would do, even if they are used in a vertical level? I hope you understand what I mean. And make it so that there is no music change. The normal level music keeps playing.
So it would look like this: I put one of the blocks in a vertical level. When I touch that block, Mario freezes and the level end scoring screen pops up, like when you beat a boss. After that either the normal exit or secret exit activates, depending on what block you used.
The normal goal block only freezes Mario in a horizontal level. But I need it for a vertical level.
Actually... I accidently flipped the two words in my last post. I don't need those blocks for a vertical level, because there they already work. I need them for a horizontal level.
Also can someone make a custom sprite that is an exact copy of the "reappearing ghosts" generator, excepting that the ghosts don't hurt you? I'd really need something like that, but have no idea how to do that.
Here's a different request, then - I'd love to see a set of "goal pipe" blocks - blocks that will let Mario "enter" them by pressing down but will trigger either the normal or secret goal when entered rather than performing a level warp.
Actually I could use such a block as well.

Couldn't you just use Smallhacker's "Beat Level instantly Block", set the above offset to 0, all others to -1 and put pipe tiles above it? I'm not completely sure if this works, but it sounds possible to me.
I don't think that would work. If you place two layer 1 objects at the same spot, then only the one in the front appears in the actual game. Maybe it would work with layer 2. But that would be a pain in a** to do. Plus I think if you enter a pipe custom blocks don't even activate.
Well the title says it all: I need a way to make Mario invisible, but only on the title screen. Is there a way? To be specific: You still have to see all other layers (layer 1 and BG) and Mario is actually moving on the title screen. So I can't just place him behind something to make him invisible. The screen also needs to scroll horizontally and vertically. So I can't just put Mario above the screen and then disable vertical scroll, either. Anyone has got an idea? Maybe a Custom Block or something like that?
