Hi everyone. New to the community. Trying to learn all that i can for my first hack.

Is there a way to make player one remain as Mario and have player two be peach or another sprite not resembling Mario?

This is a really old thread, but I kept getting stuck with it not being able to find a sample. The fix is to put the entire folder of your new music's samples into addmusicK's "samples" folder, and not to put the contents of your sample's folder into addmusicKs "samples" folder. Thank You So Much AbuseFreakHacker!

I have been searching for quite some time on the web, and smwcentral as well, for an illustration or illustrations of all of the sprite hitboxes in Super Mario World. I'm searching for something exactly like the samples below for Super Mario Bros.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. I am not interested in installing software or running code in an emulator or any other means by which to view them, just simple illustrations for easy reference. Can anyone help me?

That's the thing though. I don't want to run any scripts, programs, patches, externals, or anything of that nature. I don't understand how to even apply that script to snes9x-rr. Just simple reference pictures is all I'm after.

It just blows me away that in the two decades after its release, no on has bothered to map the hitboxes. Considering its popularity and the amount of frustration caused by them to so many people over the years. Thanks.

Edit: I have tried to use the script following the directions provided and I always get an error resulting in it not working. Using both Snes9x-rr 1.51 and 1.43. I tried running the script before and after loading the game, moving everything into the same folder. Used a clean rom and a patched one. Nothing has worked. What am I doing wrong?

Edit 2: Yeah, lnes is way over my head. Unless someone can explain this to me like a 10 year old, I think I'm done. Way too much nonsense just to get one thing working that has no troubleshooting tips, help or anything. 4 instructions... and if they don't work, oh well, your screwed.

Edit 3: ^That comment was stupid, and in poor taste. I'm sorry. I really would like to get the script working so that I can grt the SMW hitboxes out to the community. Any help is greatly appreciated. As I said, I followed the readme verbatim and cannot get it to work. I am basically begging for help. Please excuse my rash comment above.

Why does it matter what they've contributed? Seems to me your doing the exact thing they were talking about Veck. Do you not see that in your post there? Smugness, down-talking, high-and-mighty sounding non-answer. Seems they're point was just validated to me.

I see it in 1/2 of the aubmission comments. My own being a good example. Just check the comments section of any submission. 50% of the time there is something totally rude and un-called for. If you've been here a while and know the culture, I could see shrugging them off, but I'm new and one kinds of people spoke of, a moderator at that, was the first to be an ass to me about tags. There's you one example from me.

I almost think they just want attention on the issue so maybe something might get done or said about it. It only took me 2 weeks to experience it personally and i almost gave up SMW hacking because of it. I almost took it as an indication that the whole site was this way because my encounter was with someone who should know better.

And my apologies to you Veck. It appears I lumped you in with the so-call "garbage" too quickly. I was wrong. Thank you for clearing up your meaning!

I'm not aware of any images like that, but there is a script which should allow you to view the hitboxes of all sprites in SMW.

And does anyone know who made this script?

I finally found one that works with little user input.

I will hopefully have SMWC a sprite hitbox resource soon!
Huge thanks goes out to Amaraticando for making this easy for me!
