Hello everyone. I will show you how to insert custom powerups into Super Mario World and it was complicated.

The first thing that were going to do is open the powerup_defs.asm and put 1 if you read the readme. Save that. Open Asar and patch two files in one and one which is powerup_gfx, then put yes but if you have an warning just ignore. And open again the Asar and patch powerup.asm and your ROM file. Second thing that go drag into addmusick folder and open the Addmusick or GUI and click Run to Your ROM file. Third thing is go to pixi folder and open pixi.exe and drag it. 4th thing go drag to gps and run the gps.exe. And lastly drag your ROM in Uberasm and run uberasm tool. And also patch no more sprites tile limit into Asar. And you're ready to use and test your emulator. And tada works perfectly.

I'm going to assume you're already using AddmusicK and an SPC Player for this.

First look through the sound effects that you want - Ultimate Edition has the SPCs that let you listen to the sound effects directly, but they also come with the .txt files that actually let you use them in game. You can take the stuff inside of those files and copy-paste them into one of the files in Addmusick's 1DFC or 1DF9 folders (if you want to replace them). You can also make new .txt files, give them new numbers that aren't already used, and then they'll work in-game after you run AMK.

If you replace a sound effect, I advise commenting out the original sound effect so the game doesn't bother to read it, instead of replacing it. Just add a ; right before whatever you basically want gone. It would end up looking something
(This is the scrolling sound when you press L or R in my hack)

Actually making new sound effects from scratch is beyond me, and I hope someone can give a good answer on that. But if you want brand new sound effects a bit more easily, this is what I recommend.


Remember to make a backup of the sound effects before you modify them!




And there is no music to add stagestart.txt or im using song 30.
