Hey all!
I'm trying to get layer 2 working in a boo boss fight level and I'm not sure why it's not working. I'm using this UberASM to get layer 2 scrolling vertically but layer 2 doesn't show up at all!

Edit: if it wasn't obvious, the throw blocks are on layer 2.

That wouldn't really help me though, I'm trying to make layer 2 move up, 02 is a horizontal levelmode.
Also, even the sprite commands that are supposed to scroll layer 2 do nothing. I can see layer 2 in the level now but it's not moving. I went back to a backup without the previously mentioned uberasm installed but still nothing.
Am I missing something? Is there a decent tutorial on layer 2 (vertical) scrolling somewhere?

That generator works to get my level scrolling which is an improvement to say the least. The only problem is that King Boo does not move with the screen making it impossible to kill him.
Is there any way to use this code to get layer 2 scrolling instead of layer 1? Or is there a way to keep King Boo on screen while autoscrolling the level?

I tested entering the level from the overworld but that didn't change anything. I then moved everything to an other level number and that fixed it for me. I must have somehow borked some settings somewhere but at least it's fixed.

Since I'm apparently unable to make screenshots using my keyboard while playing, I've added some screenshots from within LM. These are some of the levels I've completed so far, about 13 levels into my 24 level hack. The screenshots are not in any particular order.

I like the palette and the use of screen wrapping, but is there any reason there are munchers on top of the lava, that looks weird to me.
The background doesn't really fit the rest of the GFX/palette here imo. Also, the throwblocks (switch blocks?) look 'flattened' here but the turn block at the top does not which seems inconsistent.
Here, the ghost house background seems cut off at the bottom. You could extend it down so it doesn't give you that blank space.
Other than that it looks fun to play, be it on the easier side, and I love the background in the last screenshot (castle).
I feel the ball 'n chain should be attached to something here but that's just my opinion.
This looks very confusing/messy. Note that I haven't played the hack yet so it might not be as bad as the screenshot makes it look.
Also, the overworld could use some work.
