(SOLVED, and I have no idea on how i did it)

I'm trying to insert the SMB3 map graphics in my ROM.https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=17970

Everything was going fine, but when I insert the ExAnimation the map glitches and creates some unwanted tiles appear in certain spots. If I try to erase them, they reappear when I reload the ROM in LM. Also, In the levels random glitched sprites start to appear in the screen.

I should mention that I also had used KPhoenix SMB3 Mario graphics, which need the use of a .bat file.

I first thought that the .bat was corrupting my rom, but I did some tests and the glitches only do happen after I insert the ExAnimation.

I have no idea why this is happening, I followed the newbie instructions included with the OW graphics folder.
Oh well, this really was an awesome collab! I'm really excited to participate on the next edition!
That section is mostly useless since it was attacked by download bots some time ago, and displaying newer good hacks would be great for our community.
And if you want to know the most downloaded hacks of all time, you can just go to the SMW hacks list and sort it by downloads.
Alpha (Impressive)
studiopolis1 (Good port of a good music)
gourmetrace (A classic)
remix_9 (Catchy tune)
oboro
cosmicangel
Operation 2
Route 113 (Beginning was odd, but middle was cool)
Dive (Relaxing)
kyushu
Splash Hill Zone 1
mm2gb_title
test29 (Very repetitive)
PokeFlute v2
Pyramid
72ho6_staircase_whip (Very weird)
The Second Reality Project Reloaded 1 and 2 are Certified SMW Classics. I recommend them a lot to start.

If you want something more like what Nintendo does then you should try one of the hacks made by Gamma V.

A more personal recommendation from me is A Strange Mission, if you want a taste of the crazy stuff this community does (Brutal Mario is also a classic but I don't think it aged very well).

When hackers download a resource from a curated section, they expect it be of enough quality for their hack, they expect it to be something everyone would be okay with. I don't feel like being the one to make them believe that bad game design practices won't be frowned upon here. I'm a staff member and I have to give the example, and that starts with something as simple as giving them good resources.

The work of a mod should be to check if everything is organized, if there is no sensitive content, if there is no plagiarism or repetition, and if the submission has a minimum quality level (And by minimum I mean something that isn't a complete piece of trash).

This site is not an art museum. It's an archive for SMW hacks and resources. As a hacker, I want the biggest and most diverse amount of resources, not only the "highest quality" (subjectively judged) ones. I'd prefer to have the ratings and comments of the community judging the submissions than the moderators.

SMW Central's purpose is to be an archive of curated hacks and resources, otherwise we wouldn't have any moderation in any section.

That's not SMW Central purpose? Then the site just has a bad purpose. This site can only live with the efforts of the community, and the members should be the ones to do this kind of judgment individually.
Hell, I played Escaped Chasm and I'm a Toby Fox fan, why I couldn't remember it :(
Also, shoutouts for the chads who picked and guessed Ghouls ‘n Ghosts (C64), Bug Fables (please play this one guys), Newer SMBDS, An Untitled Story, and Shanghai II (Sunsoft Bass).
A while ago I was looking through the graphics and music sections and I noticed all the rips from NSMB DS, and that made me wonder: Could someone do an SMW hack in the NSMB style using only community assets?

That question led to the start of this project.

Gameplay of the first (and currently only) level:

(This is not a port of any of the NSMB games, it’s a hack with original levels intended to look like a NSMB game)

Using also the sprites from Redrawn, I managed to do this.

So, will this project be finished? Unfortunately, I’m not sure. It started more as a proof of concept and I was only planning to do a couple of levels to show it was something possible to do, and the results are not exactly what I expected.

I did a miracle to fit all these ExGFXs made by different people, and often not well optimized, but this came with a cost: the graphics take way too much palette slots, and this made using global assets very hard.

I can do levels with all this, but they will be very boring. And there is also the problem of Mario fans not really caring for the New series (with good reasons).

I’m considering starting this project from scratch again, this time ripping all the graphics by myself, and optimizing everything to make an actual good hack, and maybe even turning it into a Graphic Hack for everyone to use.

The music selection is mostly good, I wanted to stay with sampled NSMB songs and most of the main ones from the levels are already ported in high quality, but I don’t mind using music from other Mario games like 64 and the RPGs. However, I’d be grateful if someone ported the Castle Boss theme from any of the NSMB games sampled, since I couldn’t find a good substitute for this case (I’m satisfied with the Bowser Theme from 64 for final boss although).

Since apparently all “New Super Mario [something]”name variations I could think are already being used by other SMW hacks, I’d enjoy suggestions for the name from y’all.

Now this is what I call a cute sprite #smrpg{<3}
Didn't play Super Paper Mario (but I plan to do) but I'd consider using this sometime.
Well, your unsampled ports are ok (and the most recent ones are good), but I feel they could have "something more" (I don't port so I can't say exactly what).
Your sampled ports are all very good (the Hill Top Zone (YI Style) is amazing!).
Also, you ported the best version of Piano!
I think at this point there might be more Sonic ports than Mario ports #smw{...}
Anyway, Dire Dire Docks sounds comfy as always, Special Stage sounds better than the original, Zone Clear sounds totally radical, and Marble Zone 1-1 sounds the most accurate, but I liked 0-0 too.

Based on the screenshots, maybe more enemies would help make it look more thriving. It looks good design wise though!

The Screenshots are actually just the sample levels that came with the GFX, since I didn't made any levels beyond the grassland one. (the first one with Peach is an exception, it's the intro screen)
Make Yoshi's House only be exitable by death;
Make Donut Secret House's door leading to the big boo boss send you to a test level (and put the door to the boss in a random place if you want);
Make Tubular unbeatable unless you have all switch palaces (put the switch blocks as the ground after the goal point).
Put Bowser's theme (the main part that starts very loud) in Donut Plains 1.
