Hello SMW Central, first post here.
So I've been looking for a timer patch that counts up and displays in minutes and seconds on the status bar, and while I did find almost exactly what I'm looking for, the timer resets when entering a subworld.
I was curious if some kind of ASM already exists somewhere or how to make a timer like described above.
Any help is much appreciated.

This UberASM patch is what I was referring to by "I did find almost exactly what I'm looking for." This timer does basically everything I want it to, except for keeping the time across levels.

This works like I wanted it to, thanks!
One more question though, do you know how I could increase the minutes by 1 digit/add an hour counter?

Alright, thanks for the help. I'll look into editing the code sometime later.

The problem is that I want to make a vertical scroll (at will), but the water of Layer 3 goes with the scroll, so i'm asking, is there any way to make the water stay in a position instead of follow the scroll?
Thanks for any help!
If you go to Change Layer 3 Settings, and check the 'Advanced' box, you can set the Vertical Scroll to constant, and Horizontal Scroll to Auto-scroll Left Fast. You may also want to adjust the Initial Y position. -------------------- Hi

Alright, I was able to complete my hours:min:sec timer on my own, no further assistance is needed. Problem Solved.

I'm surprised no one has done this song yet and would love to use this in a hack! My goal is for it to sound as accurate as possible. Any help is much appreciated. Also if possible, could I get notified if someone has taken my request?
Edit: Found a good midi

Desc.: I'm looking for a patch that disables shooting fireballs with the Y button. Hopefully this should be simple. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello Again!
I'm trying to reposition where the reserve item is on the status bar. I would like the item sprite to be moved to where the R, I, and Life counter normally are. How can I do this? (I haven't been able to find a solution/patch for this.)
Any help is much appreciated, once again.

Hello all.
I have a question about permission for the music that is publicly available in the SMW Music section. I just want to know if I would have to get in contact with the porters/creators and ask for permission to import the music into my hack, or if the majority of them would be fine if I credited them in some way.
Any help is much appreciated!

Hello all.
When I start a new file on my hack, the message from the intro stage has a bit of garble in it, and after the 12-ish seconds passes for the level to fade out, it repeats itself. I'm not sure what to do about it, and the only thing I can think of that caused it would be putting Mario and Luigi on the big overworld.
Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for letting me know. I'm just trying to give them the respect they deserve for such great ports. Also I would've given them credit anyway.

Hello all.
So I have a problem with my overworlds, namely, I don't like the ones I made, nor do I think I even want a big overworld to begin with. I was wondering if there were any other alternatives to making a full overworld, such as maybe just a simple level select that unlocks new levels when certain points are hit, or a file that saves every checkpoint crossed inside one big level.
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, but that isn't exactly what I want to do, I think that would interfere with the quality of the game.

This isn't compatible with the Custom Powerups patch from what I know, otherwise I would absolutely use this.
I think what I want to go for is a submap with one level, but the one level has saveable checkpoints here and there. -------------------- Hi

Also, is the save block SA-1 compatible? -------------------- Hi
