My PC is a pre-built so I didn't have to pay an absurd price. Sad for my friend though, he has a custom-built PC and he's sitting on a GT 1030 for the time being... probably a year.
Originally posted by RPG HackerWe could of course swap just the cooler, but honestly, the entire thing is starting to show its age, so the plan was to replace some more parts. However, the shortage means it's absolutely impossible to find PC parts at reasonable prices. No way it's gonna happen this year.
My old computers were awful, a Pentium E5700 and 3GB ram. "upgraded" a laptop to an ssd and 4gb ram, but it still had an i3 m 330 and was running off of dedicated graphics. Not the best computer ever. That's why I even bought my gamering PC - to have some specs that are actually decent for the first time in my life.
Why haven't you just bought a new computer? As I said above, the shortage didn't affect my PC since it is a pre-built. I'm assuming you don't want a gaming PC though.
although chances are I am just being really ignorant and that's not the solution so please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hello.
