Hello, new member here. I've been playing kaizo levels for a while, but I just started trying my hand at Lunar Magic. Spent about 3 hours on the program learning some of the basics and made a little test level (unfinished). I have a question about the 'Flying Grey Blocks', which I included in my level. I noticed that they continue to move along the screen to the right, how do I get them to de-spawn when I want them to? Linking example video of my level where you can see what I'm talking about. First appearance of flying grey blocks is around ~30 seconds, then you can see it show up again around ~1:15.
Ideally, I would want it to de-spawn after you use it at the 1st spot. Also, I know my level isn't very good or original, just wanted to upload it to keep a record of my progress at Lunar Magic.

I believe those flying gray platforms are persistent sprites and won't ever despawn as long as you remain in the same sublevel as them. So, to make them go away, you'd need to enter a door or pipe to unload them. You'll probably want to place a door or pipe that the player must enter right after the spot where those flying gray platforms are used.

Also, note that the game will remember that you've touched these particular gray platforms for as long as you're still in the same level visit, so if you enter another room that contains them, they'll automatically start moving right away. I think the only way to reset that "flag" is to leave the level entirely (like by dying or hitting a goal) to return to the overworld.

Interesting, good to know. Thanks a lot for the reply, appreciate the help!
I only found like 2 tutorials on how to do this and one of them was in a language I don't speak, the other one I ended up with issues when I was following the instructions to make custom sprites for the on/off blocks with YY-CHR and ExGFX and when I did so I was unable to import them because the file size was too large. Also, the custom sprite was really poorly drawn I just copied the simple way the tutorial drew it, I copied a GFX file and cleared it then made the 2 block sprites which only took up 16x16 each so I have no clue why it would be larger when I erased all the sprites that were there and only drew new ones that took up less physical space than the original ones... Does anyone know if there's an easy way to do this like maybe on/off switch graphics that someone else has already made that I could download or something? I downloaded the switch pack/gps/yy-chr. I started setting up the switch patch according to the instructions on the tutorial but I still need the graphics. Any tutorials on this topic that you guys know of? The ones I found were on youtube. I read a few tutorials on ExGFX but I'm still at a loss here. Sorry for the complicated explanation, I'm still very inexperienced with lunar magic. Appreciate any advice.

You can use these on/off depenent blocks from SMM2.

Cool thanks. Got the on/off blocks to work, the on/off switch graphic is still glitchy but oh well.
