I have been using the invisible solid block to make it look like you go behind blocks when you flip to the other side of the fence gate. However this tends to make other spites not show up. Is there another way to get this same effect? Blocks in front of or behind the net only passable on the other side.

I tried basing it on a block I already had but I think I did it wrong, cause I get an error when I try to insert it.

It has the opposite effect I was hoping for. I can go over it normally, but if I'm behind the net I can't.do I swap the two LDA values to fix this?

I changed the 1up and it looks really weird when it flips when it hits a wall and turns around. Is there a way to make it not flip?

I have this block I used in the variety of chance. it let Mario pass but acted solid for sprites. I tried putting this block into a different game and I've been having trouble. I put it in place of the pink berry and it acted like a ledge instead of an empty block for the player. I tried moving it to the same tile I used before and it still does it. does anybody know how this could have happened?

are you sure that some other block doesn't occupy the block you're using in your new rom? are you sure it doesn't occupy the same block your block is 'acting as'?

This and one other are the only blocks inserted at the moment. Also I got the same issue when adding the block to an unchanged rom. So I don't know where the problem lays.

It says to make it act as 25, so that's what I set it to. i also tried a few other numbers but nothing worked.

Would it be possible to make the coin turn into a tile besides the used brown block? It would be neat to get it to turn into a smb3 brick block I inserted as tile 1E.

so I moved the thwomp tiles to where the fence flipping ones are, and I wanted to use a custom thwomp(moves left). however I don't know what part of it controls what tiles it uses or what to change them to. how would i go about doing this?

I did what you told me to, however I still have a problem. all the tiles worked but the second angry face. it stayed the exact same tile.

I wanted dry bones and bony beetle to have separate crumbled frames. However when i change one with STEAR, it changes both of them. Is there a way to fix this? I moved dry bones throwing pose to an unused spot near the Bowser statues and am using it and the candle flame tiles for it by the way.

I'm trying to change the goal sphere graphic with stear. Though for some reason it also changes the mole dirt that is in the same place. I want to use these together, any way to make that happen?

I was wondering if it was possible to make it so the effects of a star or p-switch don't end when going to a new area. I'm assuming it would require a patch.

unfortunately they do not. It is a thing in mario 3 though. the main reason I want this is so I can put a changing item in one room and have the effect carry over to the next. so in this case having a star on the other end doesn't really work

Is it possible to change the code to just allow the star to continue or do they both use the same code?

I probably missed something simple but I don't know how to make them not walk. I know it says something about putting an extra byte to zero to do this but I don't know what it's referring to. Can someone please tell me what I'm missing?

I have a bit of a strange problem with my event tiles. I want to make a secret world that appears on a map you have already been on. that part works fine. However when I try to reveal paths on that world, after leaving the screen they disappear. Is there a way to stop this from happening or do I need it visible from the start?
