The spawn nether portal is just 3 normal portals right beside each other, which makes it look odd.

So, Enderdragon fight next weekend? Take this survey to help find the best time for everyone.

This is why I kinda prefer anarchy over democracy here. The point isn't to beat the game, I can just watch a Let's Play for that. The point is to watch a hundred thousand people playing the same game at the same time and laugh as hilarity ensues. Democracy means progress is made, but at the cost of entertainment. Almost all of it. Good when you've been in the same place for so long that it's getting boring, but it turns anything else dull.

Yessssss. I really dislike the democracy system. Most, if not all of the hilarious moments that have happened so far in this stream would not have happened if democracy mode was available (ledge anyone?). If a random number generator could get two badges (nevermind releasing their level 50 Charizard), then a group of 100k people can eventually find their way through a floor tile maze.

Down with the dome-o-crats!
The Enderdragon fight has been finalized for Saturday, February 22 at 22:00 GMT. (That's 5pm EST, 2pm PST, 23:00 CET.) Be there a little early so we have time to set up and get situated before entering The End.

Thank you everyone who filled out the survey, and sorry for those of you who cannot make it.

Four hours per week? I can try that. Sign me up.

I'll probably stream my play through on twitch or something.

I did some spring cleaning for the stickies in this forum again. I've also added Section II to the main post, which will be for listing a bunch of threads that are popular and useful without cluttering up the top of the thread listing.
Gathering enough courage to get past the Big Boo in the Vanilla Ghost House

Finally I was able to play more than 75% of the game.

You probably could have found your answer here. leod said it nicely: You're promoting unauthorized content, which is probably against the rules somewhere.

As for your first question, see the post above mine.
I have a tablet to take notes with, and its the best of both. You can write and draw wherever, but with the ability to quickly erase/copy+paste/move things around if you need to. The only problem is I sometimes get too tempted to play games on it and not pay attention. (Damn 2048, why you so addicting?)

In other news, I scheduled for next semester's classes a little bit ago. Here's my schedule in all its glory.

CHEM 1210 - General Chemistry I - First course for science majors, covering dimensional analysis, atomic structure, the mole, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, thermochemistry, electron configuration, bonding, molecular structure, gases, liquids, and solids.
ECE 2100 - Electrical and Computer Engineering II - Introduction to the theory and practice of discrete systems using difference equations and z-transforms, and analog systems using differential equations and Laplace transforms.
CSE 2431 - Systems II: Introduction to Operating Systems - Introduction to operating system concepts: process, CPU scheduling, memory management, file system and storage, and multi-threaded programming.
CSE 2501 - Social, Ethical, and Professional Issues in Computing - Social, ethical, and professional issues facing computing professionals; ethical principles; discussion of case studies.
CSE 3902 - Project: Design, Development, and Documentation of Interactive Systems - Intensive group project involving design, development, and documentation of an interactive software system, a 2D interactive game; communication skills emphasized; builds programming maturity.

I'm really excited for that project class because we basically form groups of 4-5 people and recreate a Mario game in C#.
At the moment, Mario Kart Wii is probably my favorite Mario Kart title. I think I spent the most time playing this one because of the (almost) excellent online gameplay that kept me playing a lot. Mario Kart 64 is probably my next favorite just because it is the title I grew up playing.

This will probably change in the next month and a half with Mario Kart 8 coming soon.

(Also, I've changed this to be the official Mario Kart thread. Read up on Rule 3 to see why.)

This better happen. In fact, I will make sure it happens.

I don't like that N64 Rainbow road was cut down to being 1 lap

Ah, I remember seeing that in the trailer as well. I'm generally not a fan of these single-lap tracks, so I was kind of disappointed when I noticed that. But the stage looks so good; I think that can make up for it.
Actually, we already have a Pokemon X/Y thread over here, but I don't blame you--it was on the second page. Feel free to bump that thread with your question, Pikachu.
