I used the vanilla overworld and started modifying level 106 for the first level of my hack. I finished building the level, it all worked fine. Then I went into level 105 to create my second level. I finished it, it also worked fine, but then I went back to level 106, and suddenly all sprites past screen 02 stopped spawning. I can see them in Lunar Magic, and it's definitely not too many sprites per screen, but they are gone when I start the game. I am using SA-1 1.40, sprite header memory set to 0x08. I use one custom sprite in that level, the rest is vanilla - and both are disappearing.
So far I've tried:
- changing sprite header memory
- using a level other than 106
- using a different version of Lunar Magic
- moving the sprites/rebuilding the level
Nothing worked. I have no idea how building the second level destroyed the first one. I'm thankful for any tips and ideas!
