1. NONA REEVES - Satisfy
2. Disclosure, Kelis - Watch your step
1. DJ Sound - One Wit A Trigga Two Wit A Bad Freak Bitch | Banger.
2. Opeth - Benighted | Not a huge fan of this. It's doomer music but for boomers, but I prefer this over the other songs in the set.

3. Tsuneo Imahori - Stand Proud || If I was a fan of the show or knew the context in which this plays I would probably like it. But because I don't this just sounds like bootleg Rocky music

4. Joe Jackson || This is okay but it is definitely not for me.

5. Motoi Sakuraba || This just sounds like generic boss fight music to me. Not for me.

6. Dream Theater - A Change Of Seasons || Not a huge fan of Progressive Metal.

7. Kevin MacLeod - Sneaky Snitch || I'm confused as to why someone would submit this to a music tournament.
Odezenne - Chat Suicide #1 || I love this one! I don't understand what's so different about this song that would make it a turn off to some, minus the language barrier.

Bloc Party - The Good News #2 || Not a fan of that country twag guitar, but everything else is good. This is def a vibe

Silentroom - Rainshower | This is..good? I'm not a huge fan of this kind of music haha

MEDUZA, Becky Hill & Goodboys - Lose Control | Forgettable

Lena Raine - Awake | Forgettable. This just sounds like Resident Evil save room music.

Peyruis - Rebirth || Meh. Sounds very very generic, I've probably forgotten it already.

David Bowie - Young Americans || Not a Bowie fan, sorry

Wakana - U.N. Owen Was Her? || Umm...This is bad. Why would someone submit a bad port of this to a music contest. At least submit the original.
#1 Lee Jackson - Goin Down the Fast Way |Its better than the rest of the set lmao

------------------------------------------
- Bandai Sound Team - Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta: Not a fan but I understand how important Vegeta is to short Mexican culture

-Matisyahu - One Day: This sounds like Pete Buttigieg would use it in his campaign.

- La-Mulana Remake Soundtrack - Giant's Cry: This song stood out so little I thought it blended with Goin Down the Fast Way

-Lena Raine - Resurrections | Celeste: Resident Evil save room music. BORING!

-I Am a Lake of Burning Orchids - The Cold Neon | I thought this was too boring too often. It would like, be a song but then it would go back and stay at noise too often.

- Paul McCartney - Listen To What The Man Said: This doesn’t sound like the 70s.

MID REVIEW JAM: Ginger Root - "Loretta" - I really like it. It has a nostalgia element because it reminds me of some of the gorillaz tracks that come from the few moments I was happy as a kid.

Aesop Rock - Five fingers - It's good :)
1. BANDA MS - El Color de Tus Ojos: I’m out here on a hot summer day, wearing dickies pants and a white tee shirt drinking a Fanta chilling in a chair with a sombrero on my head. Vibes.

2. Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - The Tears of a Clown: Chill but why the clown crying he’s supposed to be funny

-----

3.40mP feat. GUMI - Eye Examination: I do not understand the lyrics but I like the sound.

4. Anthony Hopkins - And The Waltz Goes On: Who submitted the Nutcracker? What am I supposed to get out of this

5. MAN WITH A MISSION - My Hero: This is the whitest shit I’ve heard so far in this tournament.

6. Kfaraday - Crack Her Pelvis: If someone showed me this and told me they were gonna crack my pelvis I would pepper spray them and file a restraining order.

7. eebrozgi - The Sea Has Returned (SiIvaGunner remix): Uh oh this is actually a Megaman Zero 4 track haha you sure got me

8. +TEK - Ain't Nothing Like a Funky Buster: This was literally created as a joke. And you still submitted it.

--------------------------------------------------
Mid review jam
THE NEUTRAL - 日曜日の太陽 - It’s okay
Alexander "Skip" Spence - This time he has come - Nice.
SPELLLING - Boys at School : I was interested pretty much as soon as the song started. I love the vocals and atmosphere that the song presents. The majority of the longer songs in this tournament have felt like a chore but these seven minutes went by fast. Really enjoyed it, gonna look at the band and album now

DJ Screw - I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto : Great vibe. I added this to my late night playlist

-----

Funkadelic - Cosmic Slop : Takes third place behind DJ Screw. I like this one too, but I just can’t really get into the vibe as much as I can for DJ Screw.

Yoko Shimomura - Weapons Factory : Boring and has like a six second loop. Why do people submit stuff like this?

Zhea Erose - Glitterdance : Learning that this song was made in one attempt makes it neat but doesn’t make it any better. I don’t really hate it and I think this is like, a cool barebones concept for a song but this is borderline just humming and drone sounds.

Itoki Hana (feat. Toby Fox) - 74: I don’t really think that is boring but it’s really nothing special. It doesn’t help that the lyrics are corny as shit.

Hideyuki Shimono and Akihito Okawa - Final Battle [Dolucky no Puzzle Tour '94]: More contextless VGM yay

Red House Painters - Katy Song: 2005 doomer music
Noriko Hidaka – Fly High : My pick for the set. It has nice trumpets, a slap bass etc. Yeah it’s almost like the stereotypical 90s opening song or whatever but it’s the best in this set easily.

-----

Hitoshi Sakimoto - Electric Power Building: This is much better than I was expecting. It’s a cool atmospheric track and it sounds so nice after listening to the rest of the set. I don’t think it’s interesting enough to actually submit it though.

Jimmy Cliff - I Can See Clearly Now : It's the claritin song

The Rapture - Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks: The second half of the song is them repeating the fucking name of the song over and over again. Manages to be boring and ear grating.

Ross Bagdasarian - Witch Doctor (Furby Mix): Who listens to this shit.

Ne Obliviscaris - Painters of the Tempest (Part II): Triptych Lux: Listened to this and immediately forgot it

Ruby My Dear - Croque Monsieur À Disneyland: This doesn’t appeal to me. Sorry.

Ne Obliviscaris - Painters of the Tempest (Part II): Triptych Lux: Probably the worst song of the tournament so far. Why is it sixteen minutes??? How does a song manage to be worse than “Witch Doctor but Furbys are singing it”. I’m not entirely opposed to metal/screamo but god damn this is 16 MINUTES!!! #wario{>:|}
DJ Sound - One wit a Trigga Two wit a Bad Freak Bitch
DJ Screw - I Wonder if Heaven Got a Ghetto
Kohta Takahashi - Night Stream
RednGreen - Breakbeat Darkness
The title that matters: Sweet Trip - Sept

Bronze Winner: Los Hermanos - Último Romance
1. Kid Lib - Yeah Uh!: I liked this a lot. Great vibing music, jungle being in the tournament is cool

2. Blind Guardian - A Voice in the Dark: FUCK YEAH DUDE
--------------------------------------------------------------

3. Estradasphere - The Bounty Hunter: Yeah it's alright

4. Levin Minnemann Rudess - Frumious Banderfunk: TUNNEL RHINO I'M JUST LIKE YOOOOU TUNNEL RHINOOO

5. TAKARAJIMA -- T-SQUARE: This is what plays when I'm washing a car in Gran Turismo. Drags forever and doesn't change

6. Frums - Options EX: This dragged forever. Kind of the same problem four songs in this set but I never really enjoyed it

7. winCity- maybe I’m just tired of love: Has some wack corny ass lyrics. Dude needs a ghostwriter

8. CobaltBW - Incredible Machinery: I don't remember what this sounds like. Lol
McKinley Dixon - Never Will Know (ft. Micah James & Gold Midas) - A fucking amazing song. Immediately catchy, great beats, awesome flow, A1 production, great lyrics it’s amazing. Prim is right too about the album, it’s great. Highly recommend it.

Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai…- This rules. I guess most of the lyrics are literally just her saying “Ai ai ai” but I guess you get what it says on the tin. Still a song that makes me smile, almost reminds me of what I’d expect from a de blob game.

---

Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave - It’s a nice, smooth bossa nova track. I could see myself voting for it in another weaker set but this set was really good.

Ruby My Dear - Robinet - I can acknowledge that this is a very good song, but I just don’t personally like the soundfont. After it picks up and I was like “hey it’s good” I still didn’t vibe with it like ever.

Francis M - Mga Kabayan Ko | - I understand why Val said this sounded like VGM, the first thirty seconds remind me of a Digimon World 1 song.

Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman - Wow. This Is Giving Me Mad Persona Vibes.

The Weeknd - Out of Time - It’s Okay. Definitely mid for this set

Ada Rook - 5H4D0W H34R7Z - I can understand why someone would like it, but I hate it.
1) Hotdog - Manila - Cute music. This is what would be in the background of a movie where a couple are dating in France. 8/10 made me smile

2) Fleet Foxes - The Shrine / An Argument - Cool as shit. When a song is eight minutes long and I’m fully engaged in it, that’s a sign of a good ass song.

--

3) Phantom Anthills - Chad VanGaaleen - I liked this, but I think Fleet Foxes was much more interesting. If this set was more mid, I would have picked this as my number two probably.

4) Vulfpeck - Tee Time - Kind of an earworm, but it’s not interesting. Kind of feels like the song just stays in one place for a minute.

5) L'espace-temps -I’m trapped in Bowser Jr’s submarine and he keeps fucking with the radar

6) Virt - Nightfall over the city: This is chiptune Depeche Mode. It made me want to go and listen to Violator.

7) Jon Hassell - Malay - This is a horror movie soundtrack song. Better watch out kids Freddy’s in the pool

8) They Might Be Giants - Letterbox - ?
