This gimmick I discovered when I was creating the level, so I don't know very much about it. As far as I know you need 1 tile tunnel and be big to gain enough momentum to clip through walls or get hurt and then use powerup, which again will let you clip through wall. Thanks to that it's possible to get above level and fly to flag pole, but I have no idea how could you destroy moon challenge or even get moon indicator. So how exactly yours ultra cheese works?


After checking, the dragon coin that had a issue is still the 3rd one.

The 2nd one (the one at the right of the 1st message box, right?):
The intended way seems to go to the turn blocks and break them, the message box tells about spin-clipping, and apparaently trivial navigation about narrow paths with a cloud and big Mario?

I did indeed swim under the level, but I also do skipless to know how the level should play. (The difficulty does use the skip btw)

First of all, I checked Lunar Magic again and indeed 3rd dragon coin requires squeezing into 1 tile gap as big Mario. I mentioned way to do it in 1st message box, so that's intended to squeeze there. As for ultra cheese - you kinda duck and press up against ceiling to gain momentum, right? I tried that for 15 min and I couldn't do it. So my question is: Is this really done in real time? Or did you slow down emulator to do that?


I did it in real time, I also found a easier method to do the ultra cheese:
1- Hold up and touch the celling, keep holding up.
2- Hold down, Mario will go up (apparently the celling doesn't stop the upwards momentum)
3- Quickly hold up and keep it
4- If Mario didn't clip, go to step 2 again
5- When celling clipping you can press left (or right) but you must keep holding up

(I hope I wasn't confusing to explain)

Here's my subjective feedback:

+ The lack of scores is good since the design variety is too wild.
+ Special awards encourages people to get creative.
+ Anonymous entries


Improvments:
- All RTA-viable design style (kaizo, puzzle, ...) should be allowed.
- Confusion between making:
|-A good level made of bad/risky/unusual decisions.
|-A level which is hard to judge if it's good or bad without being mediocre.


Overall: Excellent contest, GJ everyone #tb{:j}

Faded Fields
-:Nothing warns the player this is a Spineapple (a redeseigned spiny), the player may take damage unfairly. Add a indicator to warn the spiky nature of that sprite.

Red Forest
-:I recommand to make red fire could be hurting pass-through instead of just munchers behavior.
-:The firewall hitbox loops! The player can get hit like this... Is the custom sprite up to date?
-:The 4th "orb" is on a easier non-secret way than the normal path, maybe put it on the lower path?

Pink Gardens
-:I may recommand to make the Pseudo Munchers unspinable and uncolidable like munchers, but maybe not since they are pseudo idk.

Brown Battleship
-:The highest way for the ship lacks obsticles.

Yellow Canyon
-:The player can wall jump on the left wall before going forward, this vertically unlock the camera. This cause making the section blind. A simple fix is to disencourage the player with spikes.
-:The 3rd orb is unfair, the player has no way to know there isn't any platform below the orb.
-:The player can accidentaly destroy the note block by touching it below since there isn't any setup before making that happen or explaining. You could use this mechanic as a puzzle for an orb.
-:The player is surprised by the note block below the 4th orb, also the obsticle is pointless since it will teleport the player.

Mustard Mine
-:The minecarts disappear weirdly, why they make an explosion sound when they just despawn?
-:If the player goes for the power-up the next obsticle will be blind thanks to bad camera.

White Workshop
-:Is it supposed to be solid?
