Hi there, im using this patch currently and it is amazing overall.
I’ve followed the directions on the wiki for installation and everything went smoothly except one thing: GPS
GPS continuously finds errors. It keeps looking for definitions of different variables, which kinda leads me to believe that I didn’t put a folder or file in the right place.
Again i was following the directions and have deleted and started clean about 5 times with the same results each time. Has anyone else encountered this?

This is the error output

and this is my set up

Name
Switch between acquired powerups

Type
This is likely just ASM

Description
I'm currently making a Metroidvania style hack in which the player explores an interconnected world and can collect powerups.
So:
A) I'd like for each powerup to be only collected once and then they can access it permanently.
B) I'd like the player to be able to switch between the powerups they have collected so far via L and R or something like that. A pause menu or something would also work well but require more doing
C) Normal "small" mario must be included in the rotation.

References
There are many patches and things that alter how the items are held in the display bar at the top of the screen, but nothing quite like what I am looking for here.

Since each powerup is only to be collected once and then permanently kept by the player, and there are more than 2 powerups in the hack, I would definitely appreciate any help.

Note: the hack is using the bw-ram modification
If anyone has played Metroid and Super Metroid, the Chozo statues are the bird statues that hold the powerups.

I’d really like some foreground tiles to make something like that, but that fits into the Mario world. Like instead of a bird, maybe a Chuck or Mega Mole statue etc. They would just need to have their hand or mouth open to hold the powerup sprite. Would be funny/cute if it were Toads and Toadettes or something like that.

There can be several varieties if you’re feeling creative and generous.
This definitely helps. My ASM skills are still sorely lacking tho unfortunately. Thanks very much tho

Here is one from Super Metroid. Obviously it would be best if the style/shape was something from the Mario World. Like imagine how cute/disturbing a Toad version of this would be

Really? You're claiming it?! Thanks very much!!!!
You can DM me if you need more info.
Seriously thanks alot!!

Also my hack is using LX5's custom powerups. Hope that helps
Aww that sucks
Thanks anyway tho
