I'm trying to set up a custom boss fight, but can't figure out how to trigger the end of the level when the boss is defeated.

I have two untouchable adds in the fight, so I can't use the asm that ends the level when no sprites are left on screen.

Is there a way to code a custom sprite to end the level on defeat, or at the very least, change a sprite to not turn into a coin when the level ends? (I believe this would make the no sprite trigger asm work)

Solved: I'll leave it here in case anyone else runs into this issue, otherwise a mod can delete if needed.

Used the Tweaker tool to edit each add to change them to not turn into a coin when goal tape is passed. To do this, I checked two boxes (not sure if both are necessary, it works so I didn't need or want to change it)

Under section 1686 - check box "Unknown Bit 6"
Under 190F - Unknown Bit 8

I don't know if I have a bad version, but Bit 6 should say - "Don't turn into coin when goal passed". Bit 8 should say - "Don't erase when goal passed"
