okay guys smallhacker had the best idea of the thread when he said we should reverse-engineer the SMW engine to be better.

Not only would it be infinitely easier to do stuff it would be infinitely more legal.

A thing that's REALLY important to mention about this thing, is that it wouldn't be that legal if you used Vanilla graphics. If you used some other graphics, then it would be more near completely legal.

But I do believe that Smalls way is the best. I hope that somebody will start working on this new rom immediately. The sooner someone starts this project, the better. And hey, you just can't wait for the future to get to you, you'll have to get to the future.
#4.

Number 3 is awesome. But the style does not fit this hack that very much.

Something in-between #3 and #4 would be nice, but hard.

It's sweet and it uses a few new ideas.

There's some weird things about it though, like the fact that the header is not extending over the sidebar. The footer is pretty weird too.

Also, why didn't I notice this before?

It won't work in Ie because you're using the ":before" selector, which, like many other useful things, is unsupported by IE.

I've used the :before selector a few times in my CSS, and it works fine in IE... Maybe you just forgot to style it fully? (Like display: and such)
It might seems stupid, but wouldn't it be possible to edit that one flash with the SmallHackers Mario tilemap editor? 'cause if I'm right, you're not going to use the graphics for big Mario at all and I know for a fact that you can edit one "Mario hurt" picture with that tool.

Maybe it's not like a fix though, more like avoiding it..
Try disabling and enabling the network card. This usually fixes the problem.

Also try another browser. Many viruses does everything to break IE. But does nothing to normal browsers. (Though, I do not think the browser is the real problem.)

Do not do the repair thing though. As it may mess up a bunch of good settings. It might of course fix it, but it's unlikely.
1. Open source.

2. In built tools. (SpriteTool, BlockTool, Terrastripe etc.)

3. ASM organizer (that makes it possible to un-add edits, and put in LevelASM).

4. More easter eggs.

5. ???

6. Profit.

Pretty neat. But it needs some kind of "ground detail". Plain brown looks boring.

Looks pretty nice but the corners are to sharp. Try "smoothing" them up a bit by shading and just fixing them. It mainly all about 1 or 2 pixels.

Rainbow tileset

This one looks pretty good, but the palette is just plain boring. There's too much white and not enough "rainbow".

I'd also like if there where more slopes being made. All 3 normal slopes are pretty good to have actually.
You know, the installer downloads from the web, right?

And why do you keep whining about the browser? From what I've read now, it's not related to the browser at all. But I do believe that the problem is in the "network card" (or whatever you Englishmen call it.)

Have you tried disabling and enabling it? I've already told you to try this. And I don't know if you have tried it.

I can't really explain the disabling and enabling the card either, as I'll make horrible mistranslation.

A bit bland IMO. And maintaining HTML files are horrible. (Trust me, I've done it.)

Though, you've done a good job. These types of sites are great to make if you want to learn how to use HTML and how it works in it most basic format.

[Off-topic]
Whenever I see images with this FG I remember that I should release my revamp... Not gonna do that until I'm done with A2MT though.
My question is: Why can't you accept that the maker of the hack don't want you to take his/her hard work?

And credit giving in rips is kinda pointless. At least if you haven't really added something yourself.

(Also, I'm very bad at giving credits, cause I never seem to remember that I should write a list with all peeps that shall get credited.)
Would this patch work with your optimized LC_LZ2 decompression? And how much faster would the level load become with it applied?

I'm going to try to beta test this for a week or so. Might also try to port a thing of mine to it to see if it runs better.
(restricted)
I'm currently trying out "Extreme FastRom + LC_LZ2 decompression + Fadefix + NoSpriteTileLimits + SMWFix" and it seems to work really well. What I mainly notice is that the OW loads way faster. Though, whenever I try to edit something fade related in the hack, it breaks. (Fadefix works though.)

I'll try to play through this thing a bit more. I'll also try to port over a hack to it (as mentioned before).

[EDIT] My grammar sux olo.

Hey, look, an in-editor WIP of my new hack's first level !
Link 'cause it's big.

Comments ? :>

Looks pretty good. Maybe light up the "ground-spots" palette a bit?

Also, you're being ignored 'cause we can't see the link. Your layout ain't really the greatest.

[Fake-EDIT] On other thoughts, can't you make the background rocks a little bit more grey?

What do you mean by "lock"? Is it a popup or something?

In the worst case scenario you might have a virus. But I'm not going to jump to conclusions.

Got the Dazzle recorder for my games and the 'Instant DVD Recorder' programme stopped working after 3 or 4 months (got it over a year ago).

It's not like he's going to get Linux if he's going to play games.

Also, just fixing your computer like snap when you've messed it up like that is hard. I'd suggest getting a computer check-up at the nearest computer shop that does that. Try getting recommendations first, so you don't go to a "scam-shop".

If you'd like to try to fix your computer yourself, then these steps might help:

• Go get a good Anti Virus (AVG). Then run it.

• Go get CCleaner. Then just check all things not browser related in the first tab. Then let it run. Now you'll unclog a bunch of space on your computer. Then do the registry cleaning, it's amazing.

• Then go get a defraggler. (Defraggler)

All these three programs might take a lot of time to do their thing, but when they're done your computer should run faster.

The only thing you can do with the battery is either "train it" or buy a new one.

[EDIT] When previous steps have been made you should try to update all your drivers. This will probably make them work.

Also try a new browser if you feel that your internerdz are slow. Chrome is really lightweight and fast. (Using now on a 2 year old Vista Home Basic Laptop.)

2 - 3 years in the technology business is a lot of time. HP makes a bunch of great computers now.

Dell is probably your choice if you know what you're doing and what you want. Limit yourself though. Dell has a lot of options and just taking what makes your computer best will also make it silly expensive.

IDK where you live, so I can't check out laptops for you.

I'm assuming you want the number to record how many exits you've got. There's a patch for that here

For some reason, it does nothing. The counter doesn't go up.

That's because of a silly limitation in SMW. You'll have to give the level an event to make the actual exit counter go up.

If I'm understanding things right...
