Name - Pipe Coin Burst

In modern Mario games, like Super Mario Maker 2, there exists a mechanic where 10 coins burst out of a pipe at a time. There's a delay, 10 coins get shot out all at once, another delay, 10 more coins, etc. until the maximum amount of coins have came out.

I'd like to request a sprite which can handle this, making 5 moving coins burst out of a pipe (doesn't HAVE to be a pipe of course, I'd assume the sprite would have no graphics so you'd be able to put it anywhere) on an interval, for a total of 15 coins. Of course, the numbers could be defines, or extra bytes, or something. And it'd be cool if you could choose the X and Y speeds that the coins start with, that way the pipes can be any direction. The reason I say 5 instead of 10 is simply because of the sprite limit. 15 coins fills quite a lot of slots but is... more reasonable than 30.

Hopefully this isn't too specific -- again it's a feature in modern Mario games so I assume it'll be used by not only me, but a fair share of people.

It'd be neat if there was a way to have custom overworld Layer 1 path tiles. I've been working on a patch to add more path tiles, but LM won't display them correctly since AFAICT their displays are hardcoded in LM right now.

You mean a way to display custom images for path tiles, or something else?


Yeah, so people can make custom path tiles and have them display how they want.
It's my first C3! Or at least my first time participating in one.
I learned ASM, so here's what I have to show for it:



That's right, I'm releasing the sprites (and booster uberasm!) I made for Soft Tacos. The reason I'm not putting them in the Sprites and UberASM sections are because they're nowhere near optimized, and if I were to submit them as a site resource, I'd probably want to do more polish (such as removing diagonal movement from the booster). Additionally, what I'm sharing are the raw resources, as I'm lazy and I don't want to package things properly, and tweak resources that I made forever ago.

This also includes graphics, PLEASE NOTE that some things were ripped by Raibys, which are already in the site resources. It didn't include all the tiles I needed, so I ripped the rest myself. Additionally, this does NOT include the straight fireball shooting -- that patch is very horribly written and IIRC required a few fixes from Donut anyway.

An overworld sprite tool? In 2024? We're so back

This is amazing to see, and welcome back! I can't wait to see what this tool brings.
I can't even begin to describe how useful and solid this tool is. I see this as a must-use -- thank you underway for making our lives easier! #tb{:DD}
