My parents liked his music. Also, he wasn't the only celebrity who died on June 25, 2009.

On Pixel Art Requests: I generally do not accept free work unless I either have the time, if I see your project worth my time to contribute towards, and that is usually me doing the approaching to you on that second part. I do not accept speculative work as I do have various art I made on-hand with me. I am more receptive to paid work and equivalent exchange of resources (trades) in which case, you can DM me wherever I have an active presence on for the details and we can work something out. If not, then don't DM unless absolutely necessary.

Is it me or this fad is becoming the new Hypnotoad? I watched it and its STUCK IN MY HEAD! I should start a Nyan Cat (a.k.a. Pop-Tart Cat) resistance.

Wow, just over a year since a post was last made...

Anyway, I see we no longer have a returning thread. (Old news, I know)
It's been over a year since I last posted here... I see a few changes have occurred since then. Lunar Magic upgraded a couple of times and many threads were moved around. I guess life really got in the way since then. I graduated with an associates working on my bachelor's full time while working full time. I got engaged last summer and i'm in the process of finding a new job since my current job is laying off my entire department in phases. Now that I have some free time for once, I can get back on topic.

Last year, my USB drive failed on me which had the most recent copy of my hack. I didn't lose a lot but I lost a good chunk of work. Then my laptop's AC adapter connection broke rendering my laptop useless. With these two events, I have to admit that I have lost some motivation and took a few months off from any development. I resumed work on this last winter and was able to get back to where I left off before the data loss. I bought a new laptop and have more than one backup of my file just in case. Right now, my target date for Demo 2 is sometime this summer. I was gonna say July, but I don’t want to rush it degrading some quality work along the way. I will be on vacation the first week of July so while I don’t have a lot of new stuff to show now, I do have some new stuff indeed and hope to at least show it before I leave for vacation. I noticed a lot of tools have upgraded over the past few months but in order to avoid any possible bugs, I’m gonna stick with what I have right now.

So after about 13 months, I’m back and I’m hoping not to be as inactive as I was before. SMB Classic Remix is NOT cancelled!!! Thanks for understanding!

For the record, on Youtube, a while ago I asked Big Al is his hack canceled. I got a response which triggered him to do a major bump on his thread. Now I await for more progress.

Well, as i'm posting this, there's still 4 hours of Sunday left here, so that still counts as the weekend right? ;)

I've finished fixing the errors that enjoirider kindly found for me, and i'm now carrying on with World 3. I'm working on a sort of level continuity for this world too. I'll explain that later on though.

And here's some screenshots of a sewer level for world 3. I made the palette for this a while ago, but now the levels well under construction.

This is the start of the level.

Spike-tops make more of an appearance here.

I'm planning on creating a few split paths like this through the level too.

How is it so far?

While you proven that the level is a sewer, It looks to me that it is alot more like a buried structure due to the tiles appearing in castle levels.

You know, you could made annintroduction theses before you posted your fangame. Anyways, I am BuzzNBen's friend and a level designer.

Edit: Disregard the intro part, he really did make it.

I am a level designer for SMW ALL-Atar Edition and OTAKU gave me permission yesterday to post some screenshots:

STRIKE EDIT 2018 - postimage replaced my fangame screenshot image to porn so I had to delete it rn. It sucks sooo hard.

Oh okay. I didn't want any conflict. And Ooroo, this is a fangame made in Game Maker 8.0. Our level master sspp03 is a SMW hacker so we had a lot of influence from SMW hacks and we had brand new ideas and we had other ideas from hacks, ideas that we updated and added on to.

WRONG OTAKU! I am an SMB3 hacker, not an SMW hacker, but I do get inspiration manly from SMW hacks from here and Japan (ex: the very topic screenie was inspired from the first level of Luigi's Adventure 4: The Revival of Tortoise Empire by Anikiti). Also, there are more enemies from SMW hacks that will be appearing in ASE.

I think several people who regularly post in this forum need to be reminded of a few of the rules we have here.

Please read over these rules in particular:

Originally posted by Rules: General Behavior
1. Don't flame or troll.
Treat other users with respect. Don't provoke others.

Originally posted by Rules: Forum Rules
1. Do not spam.
Avoid creating unnecessary posts with little or no thought involved.

6. Don't backseat moderate.
Don't tell the staff what to do, and furthermore do not try to enforce your own rules on the site. You are welcome to politely point things out to other users, but you are not superior to them and should not act as such. If you have a concern or question, please send the appropriate staff member a private message.

The reason that I bring these up is that I have noticed a pattern among a small group of users who seem to almost "patrol" this forum for new users making hack threads.

Granted, sometimes new users will make mistakes when making new threads, like neglecting to add screenshots or stretching tables with huge screenshots or similar minor issues. There is nothing wrong with informing a user about our policies.

However, if you are going to tell a user they need screenshots, or that they need to link to pictures instead of direct sourcing, please have some other relevant information in your post whenever it is possible to do so. If a user has posted content that can be commented on, please do so. Offer them a welcome to the site. Anything less could be considered "creating unnecessary posts with little or no thought involved" -- spamming. And definitely, if one person has already advised a user they are violating a guideline, it doesn't need to be said again.

Along those lines, new users are new here for a reason -- they are often learning about LM for the first time. They aren't necessarily going to do things well or "right." We encourage everyone to give these users constructive critcism. That means instead of saying "GAH! FIX YOUR PALETTES THEY'RE BURNING MY EYES NOOB!" you say "I honestly think your palettes need some more work; you might want to choose colors that are less bright." See how one way is attacking the person and the other way is helping them? We want to help people. Doing anything less can be considered flaming or trolling, and people who make that a habit do not last long here.

Last but not least, please do not backseat moderate. That means don't tell the staff what to do and don't tell other users what to do like you are a member of staff. At best, you will only be creating unnecessary posts (spamming) and making yourself seem like a bossy jerk; at worst, you will give out wrong information. Not to pick on anyone, but this is a good example -- I recently saw someone tell a user that he should test his own hack instead of asking other people to do so. Meanwhile, we have an entire thread for people who want others to test their hacks. This is why you shouldn't tell people what to do -- you might not be giving them correct information.

tl;dr
1. Don't make pointless redundant spammy posts.
2. Don't be an asshole toward other users.
3. Don't backseat moderate.

That last part, its partially wrong. Some users who backseat mod have actually given out corrct information about things abeit were being jerks. I seen it happen before in other forums.

YDJTeeJay, you could have PMed him though to report the bug. I don't see why such a years old thread needed to be bumped. No wonder why rule-abiding people don't reply on threads years old unless new relevant information is given, important, and is on topic. And if this post was like backseat moderating, I apologize.
