VIP 6? I may of seen a video of a test demo... Anyways, months ago, I downloaded and playthroughed (videos are now unlisted due to recording problems and me wanting to restart my playthrough) a Japanese SMW hack known as Romancing Mario. All I can say is, Yoshi is integral to the completion of the hack as its non-linear.

Well, for 6-2, why not involve Sumo Bros and some Hammer Bros. there in the latter half of World 6-2. As for World 6-4, since you aren't gonna involve Ptooies, might I suggest Nipper Plants and Munchers as a replacement and have the Silver P-Switch used as the main gimmick?

I always find Anikiti's levels to be on the hard side, considerring before I had my YouTube, I played almost all of his hacks, two of which, I reached to Bowser's Submap, using savestates. I still liked the gimmicks Anikiti used.

ZSNES. While I admit its accuracy flaws, I use it because much of my playthroughs on SMW hacks have music that breaks on other SNES emulators. Its essentially, the only SNES emulator that has the most compatability for SMW hacks.

I played that 6-world beta of your hack, Gamma V, and I have to say, you are doing a fine job here. The levels feel easy enough to be played on a real SNES (without the use of savestates) whilst, having some indivdual theme in each level that provides a little bit of a challenge. The only major problem I have is a blank tile that leads to Snowy Summit. Geographically speaking, theres a long distance from World 5 and World 6. The levels connecting to the next level of the next world only take like, a few seconds, but this takes slightly longer. I feel there should be a transitional level after the forest world and before the snow world. Nevertheless, you did a fine job and I hope to see how this hack turns out.

I'd say, go with b. Its somewhat the lesser of the three evils. I mean, find someone here who can actually have the level design skill needed to match yours and your style of level design. I also recommend you look at some of Nintendo's latest levels for the most recent Mario games that would help you out with some inspiration.

It's actually quite bothering because you use Jump to select options, but Carry to speed-up the text.

Also you should be able to talk to NPCs and purchase items by pressing Up instead of Carry.

Alright. Kept playing througout the first level for a bit. Man, that Note Block timing is insane! This should be fixed. Overall I really like the game and weapon system, though. If done right this could be a quite fun game. Only the physics were a bit weird, but I guess it's nearly impossible to perfectly recreate another game's physics. You should fix all of the problems mentioned above, though.

That aside, there are both good and bad aspects to every game. There isn't a perfect game, yet... And even so, someone will find something wrong with it xD


Okay first of all, MFGG is not bashing. They are giving out legitimate criticism regarding to his games. They are crfiticizing about his lack of originality when it comes to his use of his engine he made and that each game is a "clone" of one another. Hence, we call them Hello Clones. Every single game he made, while differing from one another, have the ideas, genre presented as being too similar to one another, ideas reused in a failed attempt to make each game original. They (including I), on top of saying that Hello is stubborn, refuses to listen to genuine criticism, creating a stigma with Black Squrrel's 2007 tileset pronounced in MANY of his games when they are calls for him to try different GFX, and that the engine Hello uses has slippery and sloppy physics, the biggest problem MFGG has and it is a serious problem is that Hello lacks innovation in his games, especially his latest games.

Ugh. You know, Mario Builder at its normacly isn't a good tool to use when making a Mario fangame because the engine isn't very good plus its very laggy on most computers.

Now onto the screenshots. Your OW needs alot of work man. Seriously, they do. And for fuck's sake, please dont make your game a port of one of Anikiti's SMW hacks without his consent. I rather you use your own ideas rather than you unauthorizedly port a hack into Mario Builder without his consent.

While I find the tileset fitting, you really should edit the bottom tiles of the second screenshot because well, it breaks the uh, how to put this... Cant seem to find a suitable word. Ill just leave it at saying that the bottom tiles need to be edited to continue the flow on what the tile with the brown line for shading was going for.

You really are exaggerating the quality of this game than what it is acutally is. SMB: Game Master is quite limiting, as you can't have multiple rooms for 1 level, can't even change the sprites/bgs/tilesets without decompiling the game, and the engine is pretty notorious for its physics.

3-3 Ocean Commotion
Time for another underwater level. This one has a secret exit, but I won't tell you how to find it here. :P

This level introduces the Urchins.


Good thing I didn't wake up that fish.


This Urchin is a little tricky to get past.

3-4 Crabby Coast
What's a beach world without some crabs?


Here are the crabs. They stay on ledges and can't be jumped on. The red ones move a bit faster than the blue ones.


A Hammer Bro. guards this Yoshi Coin.


Another Yoshi Coin that can only be collected if you're big and have pressed the Green Switch.


A bit of an inaccuracy judging by the frequency of level updates posted of you with regards with a 3-world demo since C3 is in mid-late July of this year.

Anyways, those screens give off a feel of walking on a shoreline. I like the SMW-style custom graphics decorating the FG, but the seashell needs some polising, as that certain shape of the seashell, there are supposed to be likes like this:

Once again, only a suggestion to help improve that graphic.
