I'm trying to apply Iceguy's ground pound patch, but it doesn't seem to be working. I insert into my ROM file using Xkas GUI (the freespace comes identified already) and when I press down in the air, nothing happens. I also tried it with Mario and Luigi. If I need a different version of Xkas, then please tell me and give me a simple tutorial on how to apply it. Thanks.

To move the list just right-click it, select cut, then go to where you want to put it, right-click and select paste.

To place the sprites, open up your ROM in Lunar Magic, click on the green shell, and press Shift and insert at the same time. Now in the first box, enter the hex number from the sprite you want to insert (the hex number you entered in your list). In the last box put in a 2, or a 3 if the sprite uses the extra bit. Choose OK and the sprite will appear in the top-left corner of the first screen. Just drag it to the place you want it to be.

*If the sprite came with an ExGFX file, then don't forget to insert it and make the sprite use it, otherwise it will look glitched.*

If you don't get something, feel free to PM me about it. I can try to explain the simple asm (loading, storing, comparing, branching, math commands.ect). I can answer most questions, just don't ask me about sprites. I dont have msn, messanger, ect. so you'll have to PM me though. I'm also thinking of creating my own tutorial though.

Oh, so that's why! How do you make it work when your any size? I have no clue how to make or edit Xkas patches.

You'll probably have to either edit some bytes in your ROM or create a custom yoshi.

If you have to go with the custom yoshi, then you better know a LOT of ASM, especially that there isn't a yoshi dissasembly.

I think he means how to make spit fire all the time, even if he doesn't have a shell in his mouth. So he replaces yoshi's eating ability.

OK, this is embarrising and I know I sound rally stupid, but where do I put my HTML code in to make the layout?!?

I can't find anything in the "Edit Profile".

Whenever I open my ROM in LM, a message pops up.

The ROM's checksum has been tampered with, which means the file is probably corrupt. Although Lunar Magic can still open the ROM, it may be wise to replace it.

It only happens after applying the patch for the HDMA kit though. Is the ROM corrupt, or is it just a side effect of the patch?

OK, thanks.

EDIT:I suck at starting a thread.

Current Plot:

One peaceful day in dreamland, a letter arrived from King Dedede saying he would like to forgive Kirby for all the trouble he gave them by inviting him over for a feast at his castle. As everyone should know, our hungry hero can't resist coming. But when Kirby arrives, it turns out that King Dedede is teaming up with Bowser of the Mushroom Kingdom and Ganondorf of Hyrule to rule the entire universe. Barely escaping, Kirby heads out to the Mushroom Kindom to warn Mario.

Yeah, the top secret area got screwed up. It looks fine from LM, but is different in the game. Don't worry though, I'll fix it.

I think thats a pretty good idea. Before I was going to say that one shard is in each world, but I think I'd rather go with your idea. I'll use the seperate mario and luigi graphics to have them team up.

*UPDATE*

The hack will use vwf tool to play out cutscenes with. Also, I will not use any of the original bosses; all of them will be from either here, or coded by me or another member.

A classic NES world and a pokemon world sound good, but whats panel de pon? I've never heard of it.

Your hack looks pretty good so far. You should edit the gfx of your title screen though, as there are many cut-off tiles. Maybe you could ex-animate the title screen to make it show off a bi more?

Also, I'd be willing to beta test your hack, as well as help with spritetool and blcktool. I can insert, and create a few blocks/sprites.

Extract the graphics from your hack (red mushroom). Now there will be a new folder called graphics. Open up the file(s) in yy-chr and scroll down untill you find the Super Mario World tiles. Now just edit them to whatever you want. Its probaby easier to request title screen graphics 8n the requests section though.

An easier way of replacing the originals is going to options in lunar magic, making sure "Use joined GFX files" is unchecked, and click the red mushroom. That will create a folder called graphics. Replace the files with the downloaded ones.

Make a backup before doing this just in case.

If you know asm then you could easily create a custom block that does it. If you want I'll make one for you. Do you want the bottom to hurt you?

Also, if you want to edit the correct OW palletes, then you have to make a savestate on the overworld.
