what's your favorite mario game aesthetic-wise? favorite looking, sounding, and/or other senses i don't want to imagine mario infiltrating
i've been asking a bunch of my friends this lately and i thought it'd make for an interesting discussion. what power-up feels like it would benefit you most in daily life, or just be fun to play and tinker with?
personally, i dunno why but i'd love a tanooki suit. it's not like, insanely useful, but i'd like to be able to fly and have a big ass tail and turn to stone and scare my friends while they're high or something. it also looks warm and comfy as hell.
that, or a super acorn. it would be super fun to jump around the sides of buildings and cling to 'em. i'd yell obscenities at people and glide away to avoid any consequences.
what about you? explain your answer, show your work, site sources in MLA format.

i've been thinking about picking up minecraft again. late last year i started a minecraft let's play and it was a bunch of fun to make. i think editing videos of everything afterward made it feel more fulfilling, i grew more attached to my world as a result.
i kinda fell off lately, as i've been a little less interested in video editing and started learning lunar magic, but i might come back and do some recordings because it's fun to add to my world more and more.

ahhhhh i never even considered the warp whistle, that one would be a really fun one too. i wonder if it actually does whip up a big tornado like the one in smb3 does, so it could potentially be dangerous, but being able to not have to show up at work until the last minute would be worth it enough lmao
hi! i'm still a bit new, but something i've played that would fit your description (aside from having completely vanilla graphics as far as i know) would be Super Mario World: Return to Dinosaur Land. the level design is pretty similar to smw in terms of quality and difficulty, i definitely recommend it.
if i play some new stuff that fits your descriptions, i'll let you know :o)

another one i've been playing is New Super Mario World 1: The Twelve Magic Orbs. this one is a bit trickier than regular super mario world, but features a bunch of new power-ups, graphics, and interesting level designs. it's got some little issues with it and can be frustrating at times (for me at least, i'm still not at good at standard: hard hacks yet), but i think you would enjoy it.
it also has a remade version that fixes a lot of the issues and adds more stuff. i haven't played it yet, but i plan on playing it after beating the original version. but i recommend giving either of them a shot!
