Tip: When you're about to release your hack, make a patch first, patch it to a clean ROM, and then test that. This way, you are testing both the hack AND the patch. Not logged in.

But maybe we could add in a SMW2 style asm patch. Someone (or I if I learn ASM)could make yoshi not ridable, but when you hit the yoshi block (which could have a yoshi face on it) the player graphics change (into Yoshi, with the Gfx32exgfx thing) and "Yoshi" takes Control until there is a block with a Mario face on it, and when you hit it, you go back to Mario. I also think that for this we could make a patch that when you are yoshi( maybe designed to activated when a certain exgfx file is loaded) you have some of the SMW2 features. (Ex. Tounge swallow, egg throw, etc.) Anyone agree, or should we stick with the normal Yoshi?

or , like in yoshis island ds , is only one block for swaping into mario and yoshi, if you are yoshi and you jit the block , mario spawns into a smoke cloud , and if you are mario , yoshi spawns in a smoke cloud ( and tha anterior player disapears , of course)

:S i feel lost here...
can someone resume all the things we have aproved at all?
please!

i think that this is the best idea , where you can change playing yoshi or mario with hitting a block.

another idea is like in SMB2 , a player select screen.

What I'm basically going to have is one person doing the barebones structure when the base ROM is ready for each map, and then when the time comes, hold a sort of "contest" for the actual design (similar to the title screen one last time). In a nutshell, users would basically pick a map they want to design, play the levels on said map to get a feel for it, and then try their hand at designing around that. If we get more than one submission per map, then we'll hold a vote. By doing this, everyone will get a shot at designing whatever map they want.

...of course, this is really far off. I just figured I'd bring it up though.

Eh, I'm not too sure if I really like this idea. A lot of people have different styles with both their setup and design of maps, so the majority of the maps may be inconsistent and just look odd sitting next to each other. I think it will be best to have one person design the entire map before the level design, but they will post regular updates that can be critiqued or judged by the userbase so it both includes more people in the design but also stays consistent. Also, you can't really make a level without knowing where it is on a world map, aside from the barebones structure which isn't that helpful to design.

Just a thought.

Perhaps, as with the graphics, we could have a small group (2-3/4) of people work on the OW. They'd work together and watnot, designing pieces of the worlds rather than entire worlds themselves.

good idea!.

i can make OW , so i'm a volunteer

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

i think that a fire-and-ice boss for the fire/ice world is good.

a boss wich trows fire sometimes , and ice sometimes. in the legend of zelda series are some boss like this:

kotake and koume/Twinrova
fraaz, master of icy fire

you can get ideas from here

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

i only know to make OW , Graphics and levels , so i can be a volunteer for this, not for any other things

sorry, my pc was on repair , and i don't know if do we aproved the jukebox on the pub?

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

from SMB3 i like two powerups , maybe 3, and i think they will be nice in SMWCP II:

the hamer bros mario ( mario trowing hamers), the tanooky ( statue mario) and the frog costume , with the last one mario can swim better.

so i bote for the hamer suit also

i like that idea!

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

thu up graphic is the talking block , i made it animated with 2 frames , and down is the note object , for if the jukebox is apreved in the town , and you have to get spetial coins for the songs , here are the graphics and the palettes

You know, you are supposed to use the palettes in the SMWCPII base ROM, the Yellow palette doesn't look like that any more.

ok , i made with the old SMW palettes , but i can change them , the colors are only for see the object , but it doesn't have to be the same color wich is in the image

well , i'm going to change the paletes , i'm going to use SMWCPII ones.

i'll post when i finish

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

ok , thats with the palette of SMWCPII.

and , i also made a talking block , if someone noticed that.

and another thing: if you want , you can use my pipe tileset i've made.
you can take a look here

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!

and what about the museum , it will be in?

if yes , it can be hiden in a super secret door in the pub , or in a locked door in the house of someone. or else , a simple museum , no hidden , but you have to pay every time you want to enter

Thanks Ladida for this EPIC and Awesome layout!
