Yeah, it may also be a sprite memory problem but I wouldn't think that would be affected by invisible sprites but what do I know eh?

What do you do if the byte is 58? Mine is 58 instead of 9C.

Ah thanks, and yes I do use Romis.
I like the level design and such, beautiful background and the level varies (the mushroom part in the middle) which is good. The only problem I have is that some bricks sort of meld in with the background rocks, like the cement blocks and the smashable rocks. They need to be a bit more visible.

Yeah I noticed that with thwomps, the collision is on the left half of the thwomp.
I downloaded yoshicookiezeus' thwomp pack, but when I inserted it into a level, something weird happened...
