Is there anything slowing the ROM down: it seems that when I play test my level, it gets laggy when there are about 4 or 5 sprites on the screen. This includes the first level where you have 2 flopping fish, a goomba and two shelless koopas. Do I need to port to a new ROM or is this normal?

Are you bypassing the GFX correctly into the right slots?
I'm trying to port a song which I want to use, I have designated channels (there are a lot but its my first try) and tempo etc. But I want to try and listen to it as an spc.
Is there any way to change the .txt to an spc? This info is also needed if I want to submit this music as you are required to submit an SPC with it.

Yeah, the txt file is absolutely messed up, I get like 80 errors in cmd about octaves. Too bad I don't know how to compose.
The file is massive too though, (10kb!!! )

If not and they didn't share the same tilemap then you could make ExGFX for them.

Or keep an up-to-date IPS that save just those changes so that you don't have to redo everything when you port (Saves finding freespace for xkas or looking for hex edits).

What did you call it (ExGFX80 etc)?
Is anybody inserting the sideways muncher?
Could you possibly give me the ExAnimation and GFX for them (actually, they could be joined to the SMB3 brick ExAnimation since there is almost no GFX in there but lots of space)?
I want to use them as part of my sub level.
Or maybe simpler, send me a .mwl please.

Like if you had a pirahna in one space on the left and a koopa in another space but you werent using the koopa in that level, you could paste the graphics of the Sledge bro over it (in the exact place it is in the other GFX file) and save it as an ExGFX.
(This is how I used Eeries in a Reznor fight)

I think you are meant to insert them via direct Map16 instead of as an object? Are they glitched in the Map16 editor maybe?

Maybe you didn't set the tile to act like the right tile?
