Honestly, the fact that we know almost nothing is actually the one fact I appreciate about these facts. When has been the last Pokemon that didn't get 90% of its contents poiled before release?
I mean, they'll probably still get there. I'd be surprised if not. But for now, I really appreciate the fact that I don't know anything about this game.
The release of information for USUM more or less mirrors that of B2W2. They only released a few pieces of information about B2W2 before it actually came out, one of those being Keldeo's alternate form, similar to what they did with Lycanroc.
Game comes out in 3 months and the only things we know about are 3 variants of existing Pokemon (one of which is event only) and remixed music.
I'm not sure if people noticed, but the teaser back in June heavily implied that there's going to be different Totem Pokemon
, showing cutscenes of (Midday) Lycanroc and Togedemaru, and if you looking closely enough at the background of the Totem Mimikyu cutscene, you can see it's in a forest (using the same background as Memorial Hill/Hau'oli Graveyard), unlike in the first games, where you battled it inside of the Thrifty Megamart.
There's also the aesthetic changes to Melemele Island,
making it much greener, and adding a bunch of flowers as well. It also looks like the area where you first get a starter Pokemon
is on Route 1 instead of Iki Town.
I think, judging by what we've seen so far, it seems to be a B2W2 situation, where it's the same region, but with major changes to the storyline, the order you travel to the areas in, and the boss battles you fight. I'm fairly excited.
