Guess you'd like the sequel a bit more, since it has checkpoints. If you jump over the checkpoint, though, you get a score bonus at the expense of having to redo the entire stage all over again if you mess up. (sorry if I spoiled a bit of the game, 1UPDudes)

That being said, I beat Runner 2 yesterday (all levels, but not 100%). It was quite fun, I have to say (although some parts frustrated me a bit). By the way, the cutscenes in Runner 2 are narrated by someone everyone in here should know very well.

Now for it to hurry onto my UK Wii-U ;__;
According to this post, it'll only be available on the European eShop in April, so... you'll have to be a bit patient, unfortunately.

GLITCHY MUSIC

One issue I noted throughout this hack is that the music sometimes played sour notes or seemed corrupted. I am no music expert, so it's hard for me to pin down the cause and I can't really take screenshots of music, so this is the best I can do. It happens in the first level.
In addition, the music breaks on accurate emulators.

Oh hey, I started playing it a few days ago, and I accidentally got addicted to it.

Here's my profile, in case you wish to add me as a friend. (yes, I had the account since 2010)

I'm not the greatest at it, though, but hey, as long as I have some fun, I don't care.

First off, have a link to my channel. (yes, I use the new layout. Don't criticise me on that.)

You'll find 1cc's of some Touhou games that I've done with commentary available in the form of subtitles (SA Normal) or closed captions. They can be found here.

Perhaps the biggest feature of my channel (accounting for over 75% of my total views) is Touhou - Dodging like a boss, where lucky/insane dodges are shown. The series can be found here. (warning: Volume 3 has way too many slow-mo repeats)

Yesterday (2013-05-01), I made a video where I play the web trial of Hopeless Masquerade, which can be found right here.

Small note: All videos starting from Volume 3 of Touhou - Dodging like a boss are available in 720p.

Please post here if you want to comment on my videos, be it positive or negative. Questions are also welcome.
For the record, the crash in bsnes/higan and Snes9X happens when you collect a fire flower.

Earlier today, I played through the whole hack while mentioning what I saw in it in #smwc (mostly putting the contents of the message boxes and castle clear messages in there). I didn't bother translating the messages, since the text was devoid of any proper capitalisation, punctuation and grammar.

Here's the IRC log. (note: Yuyuko = me)

Major thanks to LuigiBlood for translating every single one of the messages while trying to keep the typos in them.

Of note that the IRC log is supposed to help mamlazizou where the mistakes are (though I don't mention how to fix them, since I'm not a hack mod) and thus should not be used to humiliate/insult him.

(note: if the IRC log violates the rules as of now, I will remove the offending lines, though it should be good, since I and Alcaro revised it together)

Something that hasn't been adressed is that the Yellow Switch does absolutely nothing. The dotted yellow block in the Mushroom House remains dotted even after I press the yellow switch. Tested in bsnes/higan.

Also, in 1-2, you have to abandon Yoshi at the beginning of the second part of the level, because you can't climb the vines with Yoshi.

..unless I'm mistaken, of course.

It's also worth noting that the custom music in this hack breaks on accurate emulators (bsnes/higan, Snes9X 1.52+).

Of note that several grammar/capitalisation/punctuation issues still haven't been fixed (ex. World 1 Castle Clear message). On another note, I die immediately after taking the second warp star in "kirby dream land!". Anyway, what cstutor89 meant by "Land that is on the bottom row" is that it's invisible when you actually play the hack (very apparent in "L'ami trailli!", less so in "Sonic! Avec Idris!").

Also, is "L'ami trailli!" supposed to have a secret exit?

EDIT: Post refers to the version that's being moderated (submitted on June 16th).

VF:

The run was done using Snes9X 1.51(-rr), so you need to download that version instead.

I attempted a savestateless playthrough. Lost to Reisen (coincidence? I think not!). Have to say though, this hack is really nicely done.

Though... I encountered a small bug (at least on bsnes/higan, in which I played the hack on): Often, the name of the stage on the OW shows the one where Mario was previously on instead of the actual one (for instance: Hakurei Shrine instead of Stage 1).
