I ran into this roadblock too. It's too bad you can't have the level "end" at one point and "begin" at another without seeing the overworld. That'd be the best workaround.

What reassembles? The overworld? The switch palace?

I don't see how the switch wouldn't reappear, because you can't enter a switch palace once you've cleared it. As for the overworld, the switch is pressed down on the overworld, unless you're saying it vanishes completely.

That's the one thing that's always bothered me about the SMB3 Mario that I didn't think anyone else noticed. It looks like his hand is flapping in the wind.

Only use a few different kinds of enemies per level.

WHY is this a good thing to do? I hardly think so... The more species of enemies you have in a level, the more creative you can be with them. Someone explain this to me before I strangle a kitten!

The only thing I can think of is that it makes things more organized, and you can leave the other enemies for other levels. Plus it makes things more coherent and less random, I suppose.

I don't think it's the best hint in the world, but hey, it makes a little sense.

They all say it's because they wanna see me, as I exude awesomeness. (And egotisticalism...isation.)

I've never had the Switch Palace reappear. Really don't know what to say to that.

Like they said, the delete key. To delete all objects/sprites on the level use Ctrl+delete.

I did this with NES music a while back to pretty cool effects: you can also try playing with graphics layers off: sprite layer is always challenging. ^_^

I'll probably get back to you on this one.

712. I can't say any more about it. Huh.

It also depends on the item being carried, with rarer things giving better power-ups.

The best workaround would be to have one of the following: (if I understand your layout)

Have the entrance to the area with the second POW after the first set of brown blocks

Bring the second POW to the first, use it, then pick up the first and walk through.

Check the filesize. if it's 512 KB, it's clean. any higher, not so.

I'm just wondering, what if it's 513 KB?

It's tampered goods. (Or else you have Windows 3.1 and it read it wrong. ^_^)

Always make sure there's enough going on that you aren't just running through a level, but give the player some elbow room.

You should never touch the bottom of a black piranha plant/nipper. Just no. (Unless it's situated on a platform you can jump up through.)

Make sure your levels don't depend on sprites so much that they lag.

Mine is... well, you should know this. Especially judging by my layout.

Mine is... the "beyond-eccentric" Haruhi Suzumiya.

Mine was enhanced greatly by Player 1, it originally being my own design. TMoHS fans, unite? ^_^

No, no, no! A 512-MB ROM doesn't have a header. A 513-MB ROM does (it adds an extra KB). You need a ROM with a header, therefore you need the 513-MB ROM. <_<

A 513 MB ROM would be a lot more than double the size we're talking.

We're talking KB. And contrare, mine is 512 KB and works fine with all hacks I've tried.
