I posted about help with this tool here, but I 'll try the original thread.

Can anyone out there help me get this tool working. I tired everything that I could, but It keeps either corrupting Mario's gfx or freeze whenever I touched a custom powerup. Please someone help. Then I'll make a tutorial myself afterwards to help others who was stuck like me.

patching powerup.asm directly shouldn't cause any problem, you can also use the "delete this powerup" button to remove the one you don't want. also you need to insert the ExGFX and GFX32 that are used by the powerup in LM (for racoon it's $100 and for tanuki it's $103). Any other issue may be caused by patch incompatibility, so I will need a list of all the other patches you applied to your ROM to figure it out

For the sprite frezzing the game, wich block number did you inserted the block as? this is very important since it use the block number to figure out which powerup to give and which graphic to use, so if the number don't match any inserted powerups, you get a glitched mess that freeze the game when you touch it

The only patch I have is the Separate Luigi patch. Thats probably the problem with the Mario gfx's

I set the blocks to 400-40F like one person said.
OK. I've been using xkas with the Sep. Luigi patch by HuFlungDu with no problems before. I decided I wanted to change Player 2 gfx some more. All of a sudden any patch with incbins won't patch into the ROM at all. I didn't edit the asm file at all since it worked before. Xkas can still patch other types of patches, just anything with incbin's won't patch into my rom. It won't change to the gfx's I edited. All the .bin files are in the same folder as xkas and everything. Again, I had had no problems with this a week or two ago and I didn't change anything on my computer.

Has this ever happen to anyone before?
Ii won't make the .bin changes when applied to the rom. All other patches work, though.

When I used Asar with the Sepluigi patch before, it freezes the ROM. The only way this patch would work is only through Xkas. If I can only use it one more time to change my Player 2 GFXs, i'll start using asar for here one in.
Since no one else knows anything about this, can I ask someone to help me find links to old xkas files before 0.06.1 at the very least, because my hack is stuck if I can't get this to run again.
I got it working with asar, luckily. I had to move some freespace addresses around.

Does Asar looks for freespace even with xkas patches, meaning when a patch asks for freespace asar will find it instead of me?
Try this.

I'm on a roll tonight.
Yeah, I guess I should've tested it before I suggested it #ab{:P}
"Info64 is not a valid win32 application"
No. An old Windows XP professional.
Whenever I die in the level that uses the air meter (by running out of air) and then re-enter a level, Mario appears as small Mario. Since I don't use small Mario, this is a glitch. Someone found a solution for this, but it was only explained over IRC. Can that person (Iceguy) or someone else explain how they fixed this?

Also, for future reference, instead of people just saying "I fixed it, this can be closed", Can they actually explain how they fixed it so that when the problem arises again people can find the solution in an old thread.
I think the "Submit a Hack" process should be disabled until you guys finish up whatever it is you're doing to all the hacks. That way you won't have guys like this that has nothing better to do with miserable life than to submit stolen hacks and troll doing this. This stops him flat.

Well, they'll just have to wait until this process is done to submit it. No point in putting it in there anyways right now. If you have a new hack to show to everyone, just start a thread in the Hack releases or WIPs sections of the forum and use your filebin to upload it. Easy. That way trolls won't go through the process of creating threads and a mod could nuke it easier if they do.
How do you edit a Pokey to stay on ledges? I tried using tweaker and the cfg editor and it didn't have that option. Where do you edit that option in the disassembly sprite?
It doesn't have that option in tweaker either.

What i'm trying to do is to make a Pokey stick out of a pipe like in Mario is Missing but sticking the Pokey in the pipe makes it hang one tile to left or right. I want it to be in the middle of the pipe. If it stays on ledges It can at least look like its in the pipe. Get the idea?
That's a great work-around, but I have Koopas in this level as well, and if someone kicked a shell towards the Pokeys, they'll bounce off invisible sprites blocks so that won't work either.
