Well, I'm sitting on my bed, near a somewhat large closet. The computer's on a side dresser like what you might see in hotels that contains only the Holy Bible, and the hard drive is in front of that. The opposite side of this side dresser is where my roommate's bed is. Near the hard drive is a small table. I occasionally put the computer there when I'm playing osu! or something. A larger dresser is on the opposite side of this room, and it has two televisions, my roommate's Wii, my Wii games and Wii remote, and a DVD player on it. My Gamecube games are on top of the DVD player, and my clock on top of those. My Wii is on the ground next to the dresser. I have a semi-large mess by the closet, the interior of which is split in half; one side contains my roommate's things, the other side my things. I just finished eating a spicy chicken sandwich.

College apartments suck.
You hit the target with a bow and ARROW.
*chuckles* Simple answer: Because the floor's always been there for us when we're in a lazy mood. ^_~
Okay, I was waiting for some interesting post to happen while making my hack, and I came across a TotD that advised against using level 24. I looked at it in LM, and I can see why. What I want to know is, if I still wanted to edit this level as if I were using the original OW and level paths, could I do it without having any exit-enabled items in the level? Also, if I did want to do it the way the original creators did it, is there anything special I would need to know about to hack the level in such a way?

(I'm using the original OW in part because my brain can't take hacking the OW yet, and I don't want to glitch anything without being able to restore it.)
Um... I have no idea where to find that. ^^'' Last time I tried to mess with anything that looked like that, I got a bad/failed checksum on my ROM and had to move everything. Several times.
No, the checksum is good on the ROM itself. Whenever I tried adding any ASM to it, it made the checksum bad. And I looked at the YouTube tutorials. But this isn't the place to talk about that. I'm trying to figure out where the level address thing is now.

You do know that the checksum has absolutely no significance whatsoever, right? You get a bad checksum after using pretty much any tool on your ROM, but saving a level in Lunar Magic corrects it.

Actually, no I did not know that. Given, this is the first hack I've ever made. Everything I know about hacking, I know only from the Hack Removal Log under "How NOT to make a SMW hack." But again, that still does not answer my question as to where I can find that address that ninja boy pointed out.
You're wanting level C5 there. But it is not advised you edit the level itself.
You better make sure there's no chance for Mario to die in that level. Otherwise, your hack won't be accepted here. ^_~ (I didn't spend weeks looking through the removal log for nothing.)
Can't let you do that, [weirdo's name here].
That's not my point. If you can die in the intro, it won't be allowed in here. I guarantee the mod that reviews your hack will intentionally die to show it to you as a removal reason. It's best to not edit anything in that level except for message box 000-1.
O_O I didn't even know this thread existed until just now.

I'm Sonikku2008, but feel free to call me Sean. I'm a newbie hacker for SMW and picked up LM after reading about 30-40 pages of the Hack Removal Log and thinking I can do much better than half the idiots there. (So far, three levels, all doable without save states, no Cutoffness Man or Major Slowdown appearances.) I got into SMW hacks when I saw Gunblazer 42 (MikeGnz on YouTube) play The Unworld. I hope to have a good time while I'm here and to get my hack questions answered.
Did you add in enemies and/or remove the display level message sprite? If you didn't, that's okay. Just make sure Mario can't die.
ExtremeMario: I hope so.

The Thunder: I believe you.
Thanks, Ulti.
Um... you DID read my post two (of my own) posts below that one, didn't you? I do bring that up.
...okay, maybe I miscounted the posts, but I did mention in one of them that it's fine long as Mario can't die... somewhere...
I did this on my own for the first time moving levels from a ROM that returned a bad checksum.

1. Open your SMW ROM you want to save your .mwl to.
2. File -> Open level from file... -> .mwl you want to save.
3. Quick Save to ROM.

Simple as that. (If I'm wrong, correct me.)
