Well i just made my user and i have lunar magic, but i got a problem. I can insert my ExGFX that i get but when ever i insert them everything is all glitched up, (witch i herad is supposed to happen) but then i save the changes i make and then i go to play and the grapichics are terrible. Everything looks really bad still. I got the ExGFX up with 16X16 Tile Map Editor and Direct Map 16 access. Can someone help me?
i press f9 and it saves but it puts things all over the place

i should make a video so u guys can see the problem
k will try that stuff when i got time. thanks for your help
when i click on the GREEN MUSHROOM (quick insert) there is a window that pops up that says something about 3bpp and it ask if i want to proceed any way. would this make a difference if i tryed to insert ExGFX?

Yes, all ExGFX will be garbled unless your graphics are in 4bpp.

How do you convert it? I'm trying to convert it because every time I try to insert GFX into the ROM, this pops up:

Graphics Format Warning!

The ExGFX in the ROM are still stored in 3bpp format. If you want to preserve them, you should extract the ExGFX and then reinsert them afterwards so the program can store them as 4bpp as well. Unless for some reason you actually like looking at garbled graphics...

And If I try to insert ExGFX, it says this:

I tried extracting them and reinserting, but it says the exact same thing every time.

I have the same problem, would it make a difference were the ExGFX is? cause someone tolled me that they have to be in the same folder as the rom. if you find out could you let me know?

ok, insert ExGFX is easy.

1. first, go into LM and and click all of the mushrooms in order (red, green, blue, yellow)

2. download ExGFX in the ExGFX section

3. extract it into the folder where your rom is

4. take the bin file for the ExGFX and put it into the ExGFX file that was created and rename it ExGFX80

5. go into LM

6. click the yellow mushroom

7. click the red poison mushroom

8. click the checkbox

9. click FG3 and scroll down until you see the number 80

10. click the question mark box that says "16x16 tile map editor"

11. scroll down to til you see a blank page

12. skip that page

13. on page 3 press F3 on your keyboard

14. now press F9

15. go into the "add objects" window

16. scroll down to "Direct map 16 access"

17. scroll down til you find your ExGFX

ok i have the same problem i did this and i can insert the ExGFX but the grapichics are messed up what do i do?

well i saw some Hacks on here with like Brutalmario and there was a Hammer Bro, and hammer bro is not in SMW. So how do you make them?

Go to the Sprites section of the site. They should have what you want. If not, you might need to code it.

but how would you put them in?

Also, to make custom sprites requires 65c816 ASM knowledge, and then the tutorials that come with SpriteTool will provide information on making an actual sprite. The insertion of a sprite is much easier though.

thanks for your help and i found it out
i got the Bowser quake sprite
but does anyone know where i can get a NES bowser sprite to replace the bowser in the sprite tool given in the download?

Wouldn't you just want to use the NES Bowser graphics? That sounds a lot easier to me.

Yeah thats what i meant like to over place the other bowser grapchics
