Tip: By pressing Shift while placing event tiles, they will be made "silent" and will not appear until a map transition happens. Always use silent event tiles to draw paths in other maps (i.e. a Vanilla Dome event while the player is on the main map), or glitchy tiles may appear.
I don't know if this belongs in advanced or beginners, but I am wondering how I can copy the level design for the intro and put it into a level other than C7. What I am trying to do is make an ASM Movie of myself for the intro level. Help?
Whenever I run the game, Mario is supposed to hit a P switch in the demo movie. Whenever he hits it though, the music stops! HELP! how do I prevent this?
Alright, I originally made my events so that you could see the level tile ahead of you, but after completing the level before it would reveal the path. Everything was working fine until i decided to hide the level tiles and reveal them on events. After beating the first level, it reveals the paths and the level tiles and everything, but it won't let mario walk to it. I have tried doing enable up but it still isn't working.

Alright, so I go and try to patch a clean rom with the koopa troopa IPS patch (it makes mario become a koopa troopa, found here: http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=85&type=patches )

This may sound noobish, but how do i change the palettes and which one do i change it to? Now it says my CHKSUM is a Fail and won't get past the nintendo presents part, (which I edited?)
A "blind jump" is when you can't see where you're supposed to land. Since you can't see the ground you should land on, you often land in the wrong place.
You should generally avoid blind jumps, and if you have to have one, you should place coins along the way so the player can follow them to safe ground.
Yeah if you make a blind jump and don't have any kind of direction to safety, then hack moderates will get you for it.
