I put the music in the right place on the INI
Here's the problem now: It says it can't open any of the files.

--------------------
Yes, it's the EXACT name.

--------------------
Here's a video I found that explains the problem. It says couldn't open "musicname.txt" even though everything in the INI is correct.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24FM1womRQ0

--------------------
I'm typing "songname.txt"
No LEVEL/ before it.

--------------------
I wasn't putting the path to the file, only the person in the video was.
Here's what I did:
AddMusic.exe SMW.smc INIT
In the INI, put the songs in the correct slots. "Songname.txt"
then back to the command line
AddMusic.exe SMW.smc LEVEL
It couldn't open ANY of the txt files!

--------------------
All of the songs (txt files) are placed in the LEVEL folder.

--------------------
Yes, I'm using the correct prompt.

--------------------
Yes, yes, yes, no, and yes. Everything is correct.

--------------------
The LEVEL folder:

The INI:

The Result:

Do you see anything wrong with it?

--------------------
Here's the root folder. I don't see anything wrong.

Also, the ROM is 2,049 KB, of that's relevant.

--------------------
IT WORKS!!!! YES!!
My reaction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3ALwKeSEYs

--------------------
Never mind that, it's fixed! I wasn't supposed to include .TXT at the end of the file name for the file its'self.

--------------------
Does the level use layer 3 water? If so, the level shouldn't be longer than 0A screens.

--------------------
If you edit the overworld palettes 0-7, does it effect the palettes 0-7 used in levels? I've seen overworlds with 3 or more colors used for the standard grassy terrain in the main overworld (not in submaps). Is there another palette than can be used?
Here's an ecample of what I mean in the seconed question http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=virQNUUermk
Thanks!

--------------------
Thanks!
This can be closed now.

--------------------
Ok, So I tried editing palettes 0-3 in the overworld, but a few of the colors are hardcoded by the ASM! I've seen more than 2 palettes for the standard terrain color in other custom overworlds, but how do I do that?
Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YciAkPyCJGY

I'm pretty sure you can't use palettes 0-3 in the overworld, because they mess up when you complete a level. Use Palettes 4-7 to make more terrain colors. Make one palette the water, instead of the two that it normally uses, then use the other three for three colors.

And how exactly do I do that?

--------------------
I really don't understand. When I change palette 5, itm turnes the water edges for land the wrong color. If I change palette 7, it changes the water its'self to the wrong color.

--------------------
How do I make tiles from both water palettes use 1 palette instead of 2?
