I know there are a few different Addmusic programs made by different people. So, which one is the best one to use? I'd like to be able to change the P-Switch, Invincibility, Goal End (basically miscellaneous music) as well as importing level music and overworld music.

IMO, unless the hack has a great in-depth storyline, a hack shouldn't have any swearing whatsoever. But if swearing were to be used, it shouldn't be overused because it would just ruin the hack and defeat the purpose of Mario games. But too little/not frequent just makes it stupid and pointless.

But generally overall, hacks shouldn't have swearing.

To start with, install Wii Homebrew by following the steps show here.

Then here to install a snes emulator.

OK. First of all, make sure you have patched the roms correctly, put them in the right place, made sure the roms you patched were clean etc. Basically make all the basic checks.

If the problem still persists, I'm afraid there isn't really anything to do. Because you see the emulator cannot emulate every single SNES game, just like PC emulators. The wii one more because the emulator is harder to code. The developers are working to make more games compatible, so SMW might not be.

Also, make sure you have the latest version of the emulator which I believe is 4.1.6 (released 3rd april 2010).

@Mockingod: He's not on windows he's trying to play hacks on his Wii using Homebrew and an emulator called Snes9x GX. Zsnes isn't available for Wii Hombrew I think...

If they play fine in ZSNES then they are patched correctly and clean etc. What I recommend is to try a few other roms (just normal ZSNES games like Super Metroid or whatever) on the Snes9x GX emulator, to see if they work, if they do, it's most likely that the emulator can't play Super Mario World. Also, Snes9x GX IS very glitchy.

Yeah, basically get another rom as that's most likely the reason. If you try with a new working rom, and it still doesn't work, make sure you are using a non-corrupt patch. (Any patch from here will be fine).

EDIT: Also, try playing just the unpatched rom to see if it plays...
