Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem.
I'm Gamma V, AKA Amber Vasami, a veteran SMW hacker who has been hacking on and off since 2006. In that time, I have created 9 full-length hacks and 3 mini-hacks, along with several music ports and ExGFX sets. My hacking specialties are ExGFX, particularly foregrounds and background, unsampled custom music, level design, and Overworld design. I know very little ASM, only being able to code some pretty simplistic blocks from scratch.
Outside of SMW hacking, I enjoy playing retro video games, particularly from the 16-bit era (SNES/Genesis), along with puzzle-based mobile games (Those things are addictive), listening to pop, rock and R&B from the late 80s through the mid-00s, watching sci-fi and robot-centric cartoons, collecting Transformers, role-playing, and exploring conspiracy theories.
Please do NOT PM me here or DM me on Discord to ask for help with anything SMW hacking-related. Just because I'm an experienced hacker, it doesn't mean I'm a living SMW hacking tutorial. We have a help forum for that. We also have a #help channel on the Discord server.
I DO NOT take private requests! There are request threads on the forum for music and ASM.
POINT OF ADVICE
You don't have to build an Overworld or level in one sitting. You can always work on either for as long as you feel like doing so, save when you get tired, and pick it back up later.
