ABOUT ME

Hello everyone, I'm Mathos and I'm a 18-year old SMW hacker that just like to create games of any sort. I live in France (y'know, that country where everyone wear berets and striped shirts). Right now I'm in university, going for a diploma in multimedia and web design. Planning to become a true game designer. After 7 years of lurking, I finally registered here and after 7 more months, I became finally (somewhat) active !
I chose that odd username because of this (you should totally check the author's work, btw, that's some fine scientific vulgarization) and the fact that it resembles my real name, Mathieu.

I love old SNES games, especially Super Mario World (obviously), and a ton of other ones.
Besides gaming I have a life I enjoy drawing and doing roleplay (mostly demigod fantasy, that shit is so epic), in which I'm both player and game master. How do you tell the difference with regular RPGs? Well, instead of playing a normal guy fighting weak things, you're playing a super strong guy fighting even stronger enemies. Which is rad.
I also LOVE drawing, and sometimes I make use of that to illustrate my RPG stuff. I have an art thread here, even though I don't post here much now.

WHAT AM I DOING HERE ?

Well, right now I'm getting started a collab. PM me to join it !

I recently got into some into advanced ASM coding because I aim at making excellent bosses and systems for said collab. I'm still struggling to get advanced stuff to work, but I won't abandon coding.

Feel free to PM or mail me, I always reply in the end. I'd prefer if you contacted me on Discord though, because I feel somewhat unease and get easily over-formal when communicating via SMWC, especially in the forums. I'm too often super-polite and ruin the mood quickly if I'm not careful :( Keep also in mind that while I log in often, I don't post much. It's not shyness, it's if-I-dont-have-anything-to-say-then-I-keep-my-mouth-shut-ness.
EDIT: My connection is being a **** again so I might log in at random.

Also, don't be surprised if I switch layouts often. I make some when I'm bored. If you want one, PM me ! I'll probably do it as long as it's not crazy difficult. You can see those I made here. If you want to use one of them, ASK before doing so. Some of them are still used by their requesters, and some are too old or badly coded (even if they work) to be worth using.

Which Touhou character suits you?
Your Result: Aya Shameimaru

The outgoing Tengu, Aya, is likely the speediest person in the land of Gensokyo, which helps her as a reporter and newspaper writer who always needs the latest scoop on everyone she knows. Aya herself is very powerful, so she needs to hold back whenever she battles the others; however, her most notable power is through the pen. As her newspaper articles can be opinionated and exaggerated, image-centric residents wouldn't want to see themselves published in the paper.

You seem to know quite a lot of things about SMW hacking and a little bit of ASM/SNES-related questions.

You are very good at SMW hacking. Your hacks have great level design, and you have enough experience to make good chocolate hacks. You have a lot of hacking knowledge, and you play-test your hacks so they have almost no errors at all. You can make very good and polished hacks.
