Haruhiist, Classic DooM Aficionado, Homestar Runner authority and Amateur Hacker, currently working on my first hack, Super Mario World: Revisited. I'm aware that title was used before, but I started the hack before I knew that, and as far as I know that other project was scrapped. SMW: Revisited will feature all-new level designs, message blocks, and so forth, while still feeling very much like the original with a dash of humor added in, as well as a few gimmicks, but you'll just have to wait and see what they are. It's sort of like what would happen if Nintendo hired totally different level programmers (and ones less forgiving, at that). Look forward to it sometime in '08! I've decidedly expanded the hack, and plans are to add new blocks, sprites, and perhaps custom music, but still feel a lot like SMW (in a good way). This is all very much up in the air, but hopefully I can still release something meaningful in the summer.
My song of the moment is "Fatalize" from Tales of Symphonia. This song played during very dramatic battles, such as against Sheena, who would later join the party. It's very intense, and conveys the mood of ToS boss battles perfectly. PM me with any comments about the player, or about the songs themselves. Note that the player can sometimes be stubborn, but after pressing play, give it some time.
I'm part of the Testers for Hire thread, so if you'd like something play tested, no matter what it is, PM me, and I'll give you honest feedback. Anything else is in my profile.
