After many confrontations against the King Bowser, Mario was finally back home, having a break and enyoing a good time. Suddenly, Mario receives a call from Toad. It seems that Toad need some help, so, now Mario have some plumbing to do. at the sewer pipes, Mario find out that Mouser is causing all the trouble and tells Mario that it's time to take revenge, he and his friends. Worried, Mario now will have to see if the Princess is ok and find out what are they planning... fixme: music breaks on accurate emulators.
Ok. What did I just play here? This hack is just an huge mess of things.
The design is very bad. There are two kind of levels in here: the pipe ones and the ordinary ones. The ordinary ones are confusing and always end up being small. There's not much going on except small pieces of land with sprites on it. As for the pipe ones, they're terribly frustrating, since you have high chances of messing stuff up. Plus, some of the rooms are impossible to beat. So yeah, this is a nice broken glitchy hack.
Aesthetics are no better. Screens up there talk themselves, no? Silly palettes everywhere, clashy graphics, confusing stuff... Really bad.
- Music breaks on accurate emulators.
- Sprite tile limits occuring in spots where lots of dynamic sprites are.
- As said already, some puzzle rooms are impossible to clear, in particular the first one in "LET'S PRACTICE". No way to beat that if you don't cheat.
Overall, one of the glitchiest hacks I've ever played. 1/5.
