Description: | Demo 2 of my hack, Primal Mario World. This demo has modified levels from the first demo, and also has brand new levels (Worlds 3-4). It includes: ExGFX Custom Sprites Custom Music Custom Blocks (But not many) Please rate and review this demo, so I can correct some mistales (if there are any). Enjoy!!! Looks really good. Please complete it so that it doesn't break. But overall good hack, and waiting for full fixed version .
Not as linear as mine, lol
The design is very boring, with samey flat sections with ground enemies and pits as your only obstacle. There are no real gimmicks, levels look too much alike each other, and there is no variety in design, which make the hack not very fun to go through. Atleast, the difficulty curve increases gradually, which is always nice to see. As far as level design goes though, this hack is pure flatness. Not fun at all.
Aesthetics are not awful, but some palettes look off; also, the FG used in the levels where you rescue a Yoshi egg are really too silly compared with the rest of the level, may it be a YI BG, a SMW BG and so on. Could've been much better from my point.
Some other issues:
- Music breaks on accurate emulators.
- Major slowdown in many levels.
Overall, yeah, this may be one of the most linear hacks I've ever played, as stated in the beginning.
