This is a Halloween level with a whodunit story told through the design and most emphasis on the gameplay. Halfway through the level, your objective is complete, so you continue on to find the bad guy.

The level design lightly uses ASM gimmicks: an on/off block lets you bounce over the wall to go inside the basement, and you have a SM64-style "collect 8 red coins" timed puzzle in order to progress to the next room. Other platforming elements are rather standard and not noteworthy, and the level's visuals are well-laid out. For those seeking depth to the implementation of design concepts, you may be disappointed, as these are one-and-done deals.

While disproportionate to the level's actual difficulty, the reason I'm rating this hack hard is because of the boss's random attack pattern and the fact you don't know that his hitbox goes away sometimes after being hit so you can fall through him to your death. You also can die after defeating the boss if you're in a forward motion.

The hack accomplishes its goal in one level and it feels like an acceptable stand-alone albeit with shallow gameplay for such, but that issue with the boss is very nagging, and the hack doesn't work in more accurate emulators.
