Tip: If you give a Muncher tile custom graphics, it will still act like a coin when a silver P-switch is active, whether it looks like a coin or not. So make sure to use ExAnimation if there's a silver P-switch in the area.
(MODERATOR NOTE: This hack should be played in ZSNES to avoid music glitches.)
After the cancellation of my first project, SMW: Remix, I have made a newer, better, and much more fun hack!
This is Demo 0.1, and contains World 1.
fixme: custom music glitch causes crash in accurate emulators. Some ASM also does not work in the latest ZSNES. A specific outdated version of an emulator is needed to play hack as-is, which is ZSNES 1.42.
Indeed it works flawlessly on zsnes 1.42. If you're going to play this, use this version of the emulator.
Anyways, this hack is good enough. The design is pretty suitable for a first world. The author introduces also a new mechanic, which is the walljump. You're not needed to spam this move everywhere, but for this world it just helps you passing a few sections, and saving yourself from pits. I was a bit annoyed by the amount of blind jumps this hack has, kinda bothering.
Aesthetic-wise, the author uses a mostly vanilla SMW, with some small edits. Plus, we can see some fancy HDMA here and there (intro level and castle). Good enough.
