Description: This hack is part of The Destructive Devastating Duo Saga, and is number 1 in the series.

This is a Story based hack that focusses on Cindy and Simon, the two protagonists of this game.
An unknown person has send them a message that there's something strange going on, on Enteria Island.
Cindy and Simon set out to find out what it is.
After Cindy got to the Island, Simon set out for somewhere else.
This is where the game starts.

The hack contains ~40 levels.
It has custom bosses, music and graphics all drawn by hand.
The graphics are based off of the original tilesets due to this originally being a vanilla hack.

fixme: the music breaks on the real hardware, so you can't play it with bsnes and snes9x 1.52+.

Good hack overall. It has its bad and good aspects, but I liked it.

I have mixed feelings about the design. Sometimes it feels like the story took all the attention, making the levels kind of flat, without any particular gimmick or way of design. There's also lots of item babysitting, repetitivity and some other smaller design flaws. Rarely there's a gimmick variation, I liked the one where you have to collect the coins to free the fairy.

Aesthetics are 50% good, 50% bad. The bad parts covers almost all the bad looking palettes: there are lots of levels where objects are either too dark, or too bright to see. The other 50% is great, I liked the custom characters and the reskinned enemies. In my opinion, maybe the author could've worked on this factor just a bit more, that bit that fixes most of the silly-looking things.

Some issues:
- Music breaks on accurate emulators.
- Sprite tile limits issues, occuring a lot in the last castle.
- Bad BG placement I see.

Overall, as said already, this hack was enjoyable. Probably this should've been polished as much as the story to get a 5/5. Giving it a 3/5.
