Description: | The demo of my first SMW Hack: Bowser's Time Machine. Since I probably will not continue this hack (at least for a while), I thought I might as well officially release it on the site. There are two reported "glitches", one of which was fixed before this demo was released. Minor cutoff in the overworld was fixed, and the SMB2 Mario GFX not being complete was reported. I never finished porting the GFX, and probably never will... fixme: music breaks on accurate emulators. |

Design-wise is indeed bad. The levels are extremly flat and short, probably one of the shortest we have in SMWC. Can't say much more, short review for a short hack I guess.
Aesthetic-wise, it's interesting. According the story, this should be a hack where you get though all the SMB games by travelling in time. There is some weirdness in the player's GFX in the SMB2 level, though I won't count it since it's the "end of demo" level. As far as NES style goes, I think it's okay overall. I'd have loved a NES-styled status bar, music and SFX, but I guess this was too much to handle for the poor oldie hackers.
The only issue worth of mention is that music breaks on accurate emulators. This one breaks the castle music in a creepy way, I'm sp00ked.
Overall, a very bad hack. You can replicate this by your own in half a day of continuos work. The concept is amazing though.
