Details for Coin Counters (4-, 5-, and 6-digit), v. 1.6/1.1
SMW Patches - Coin Counters (4-, 5-, and 6-digit), v. 1.6/1.1
This is an update. This package includes 4-, 5-, and 6-digit coin counters that do not reset the counter at game over. Why the original author did it that way in the first place, I have no idea...but should you prefer it that way, the previous versions are there as well. The patches with thelarger version numbers are the ones that do not reset on game over. There is also a patch made by Roy included that disables all score sprites except the 1/2/3/5-Up, since the points would be essentially useless with the alternative coin counters anyway.
This patch originally had six different versions (4 digit, 5 digit, 6 digit plus a version that resets the coin counter on game over) and a disable score sprites. I merged all the versions into a single patch except for the disable score sprites which is still separate.
Now you can specify how many digits you want (4/5/6) and if you want to reset them on game over in a single .asm file.
Additionally, fixed a crash on when enabling zero-digit padding and added SA-1 support. Plus, added tags and the original authors.
