To people who use this: I suggest changing line 90 in the main patch from LDA #$60 to LDA #$70. That will fix Mario's starting y position. Originally, he starts one tile higher and falls down in a silly way.

This doesn't support custom palettes, graphics or layer 3 BGs. That should be addressed if it gets remoderated.

I'm surprised this patch still seems to work well with current Lunar Magic version. Added tags and SA-1 support. This is pretty useful for who wants to make custom no yoshi entrances.

Also renamed the patch as Koopster's complained about not being obvious enough.
