Super Mario Bros. with SMAS Graphics.

Now I used the 1 Player Only patch and the ips files are separated into Mario and Luigi games.

NOTE: This is an open-source hack which can be used as a base hack.

Please enjoy!
- Not enough echo delay in music.

The music in this Hack doesn’t crash on accurate emulators like SNES9X does it.

The hack is very well done. However, there are some minor mistakes.

A lot of your custom graphics are flat and have no definition. Also, some graphics are cutoff, and not to mention, there's a lot of theme clashing. There's original and retro graphics, choose one and keep it throughout the level. Also, another minor mistake is the blandness of the map. It's really flat and ugly, but I get that it's retro.

Overall, great job on the hack! I really enjoy it, keep making good hacks like this!

The piranha plant has a red stem. You can download the fix patch here.
(Oops, the picture is from another version of the same hack, but with the original SMW graphics).

My my, the feels every time...
This is honestly a good remake. The graphics here have been choosen nicely, although I'd have liked if the BGs were also custom so that they would match with the custom FG. As for the mechanics, the most important ones work properly (the castle labyrinth, the lakitu, Bowser's battles), although some minor things are missing, like the fact you can scroll the screen from both sides and that you can grab shells. Not major, the remake is still a good one from my point.
Some issues:
- Levels start with a loud noise since music has not enough echo delay.
- Level 5-2 is broken; you start falling from the ceiling and you die falling, even through the ground tiles.
- Some slowdown in 8-1.

Overall, a nice remake.
